Just a little upset. At the risk of sounding selfish, I was kind of hoping it wouldn't be tameable. Keeping it that way would help to signify the old school hydra owners.
No use crying over spilled milk. It's whatever, I guess.
I don't think its selfish to be a little upset. People like to have unique things that set them apart. I know alot dont like the special snowflake mentality but meh I would understand if some ppl where. I'm secretly happy I have one unique mount in my collection that isn't coming back. Its my guilty indulgence
The chromatic chrimera is to DIE for!! The chromatic Dragons are my favourite flight and this feels like I'll have my own little mutated gyph pet! haha <3

That chimera looks like it was doing a color run.. where's the headband, sunglasses, and awkward shorts?
(Yes, Spirit, this is an invitation for your magic...

The mob is called a Drift Lurker and it's repeatedly summoned in combat by a Thunderlord Trapper.

Off topic, but I think sandreavers would make a terrifying (glyphed?) alternative to deathknight's blood worms.

It's just the updated Shaman Ghost Wolf in conjunction with the
[Glyph of the Spectral Wolf].... But, considering they
stole the original from us, I think it's only fair we get a crack at their new one

Ooooh!! My 2 shaman just got very excited! Yes you'd hope we'd get a pet too. Kinda hope it isn't another spirit beast and just a ghosty version of a wolf.

That would have been very awesome, but unfortunately they're removing Blood Worms from DKs.

That's a shame, because it's a brilliant idea. Those guys are so creepy-cool.
Otherwise they'd make a great glyph alternative for the snake trap.

Whoa. Lurker Trap. Way more awesome than Snakes, imo!

Added two exciting things from this patch to the OP. Both were created for mounts but function perfectly on the wild models as neither have any harness built into their skins.
Firstly the new chromatic chimera! This has to become a rare somewhere, surely
Secondly, the skin used under the new "Iron Horde Wolf" model is just stunning on its own and would make a really unique dark, fiery spirit beast:
I'm really taken with that one. It's also conceivable in the wolf family; at least no less so than lightning zappy wolves.

That chromatic chimera still looks like it's done a few too many color runs...

I think that's what happens when Orc children are left alone with paint pots and their family pet rylak ;P
