Hmm, I'm afraid I don't like how the dwarf ladies turned out. They look nothing like the originals in the face.

Though I don't play them often, I had a couple female dwarf alts that I liked, but the revamps are a dealbreaker for me as well. Not fond of how they turned out, and I'm growing more concerned about Same Face Syndrome, the faces hardly look different from each other.

Which was already a problem, and now the new faces are only compounding that.
It's frustrating.

I really like the female dwarves *except* the dark circles around the eyes make them look very tired to me. Like they've had a really hard life. That's the only thing, but it really does trigger pity when I look at them, rather than a character I'd choose in order to kick arse.
Also, just merged this female dwarf topic into the main one
And made this topic a sticky. It probably warrants it.

HNG. Dat sabertooth-man.
Damnit, wtb playable version, like yesterday. I would buy ALL THE RACE CHANGES EVER if this was a legit race.

Maybe I'm just tired but those faces look no different from each other and if they do, the differences are so slight I won't even notice them in-game. o.O

Yeaaah I'm... getting increasingly concerned about Same Face Syndrome. I swore up and down that Blizzard wasn't dumb enough to do that, but... hrm...
...it's Alpha, though, maybe they'll be fixed...? >.>
(Really not a fan of the female dwarves. I almost like them, but all the lively, spritely faces just look dead tired and kind of abused, now. I like my fiery, lively dwarf ladies, darnit.)

The old faces are extremely same facey for most of them. Most are just eye brow changes. So they kind of have just upgraded them in a way

I might play one with the new models. I don't think they are so ugly now XD
I'm not too worried about tauren tho. They really don't have faces that much, at least they are not that noticeable XD

If the old faces were also very similar, it may be a result of that. They did say they don't want to make anyone's character feel radically different. Adding a lot of face variations would risk people feeling that it was no longer their character. In fact I would guess it's very frustrating for the art team to be restricted as they have. They probably want to do all kinds of cool things they're not allowed to with the current priority of updating old looks. It'd be nice if they added more variations for the future, though. i.e. not ones that are going to have to resemble the old designs.

Indeed like er face packs? XD
If they did do that I hope they would be free. I know they would not be :S

I'm really hoping that they get enough feedback in the beta to work on them some more. I think the bodies are good, but the faces are still very same-y and they really don't reflect the feel of the originals. My hunter's face just looks so SAD now. And that's just not her.

I thought I'll be finally changing my face-covering helmet, but now I think "nope"
The dwarfettes look tired and sad, and the gnomies as if they had an inhalation of the joker-gas. Not like, not at all. /saddwarfette

The female Gnome's idle faces just look so... crazy. Their eyes. o.o And yeah, all the female Dwarves look really upset.

Well, look at the male dwarves. My character looks like this ingame, from the armory:
And I did the preview of him in the Wowhead modelviewer:
Looks totally different. Much better (I created this lock after seeing the revamped model) but still very different.
They probably wanted to change some things that made some races ugly (like the perma-angry faces of male dwarves)

I have a question about the modelviewer: is it possible to do emotes? The other viewer, the one with the generic models (was is at MMO-Champ?) had the options, but I can't find them on the Wowhead one.
