Stray Truffle-Hunters are, mistakenly, untameable now. I just died a little inside.

So I've added the new families:
- I've added the talent types (ferocity/tenacity/cunning) for each family, as they're currently listed in the database file.
- I've also added their diets. I'm surprised toads don't eat fish. Might have to suggest that one.
Not yet done:
- whether the family will be exotic or not.
- what its basic skill is (bite, etc.) I don't think that this is part of the family data table either.
- family skills

According to Wowhead and mmo-c, Krolusks and Pterrodaxes will be exotics. There is also a list of family abilities.

Wow! Interesting. I wonder whether or not it is intentional.
Update: Found it in the Crimson Forest. It is called a Cursed Brambleback. It is possible that this isn't intentional, seeing as the other wicker beasts in the area are listed as aberrations.

That is my new favorite beta pet, by far. It's affected by the black and neon blue hex like other beasts, so I'd say it's normal that we can tame them. I mean, we can tame Ankylodons and Sabertusks, so woodbears should be perfectly fine.
EDIT: The rare Hyo'gi is also tameable, and uses the green version of the bramblebear "skin". It's hidden under that hex effect, but this nails it; two NPCs "mistakenly" labeled tameable? I think we have a guardian (druid) stalker watching over us.

Yes, but a lot of the other beasts affected by the hex magic are also normal beasts. Ankylodons and Sabertusks are normal beasts. These bears are wicker creatures, which are not natural beasts.

I am so liking BFA first we get animal companion to replace our lovable storm mutt Hati who by the way I no longer miss and now we get dreamrunners.

Speaking of Hati, there was a wolf that looked like the black skin. Where was that found again? Someone should go check the not-Hati skin.

The two wooden bears were once normal bears with hex effects in the last build and both were tamable. It is possible that they just changed the model but did not remove the tamability.
They are found in a cave in southwestern Zuldazar. I have already checked and they are not tamable.

Well, thanks folks for all your hunting so far! This is shaping up to be another great expansion for hunter pets.
I've updated the BfA looks page to distinguish the four new families. I've also updated some looks to mention that they're tameable, but not others. I'll have to sort through what is and isn't available later. And I've added the Pandaria toad model to the database.
General page:

Individual family pages:
Toads:

Lizards: (these could probably do with a fancier icon)
http://www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?id=lizard
Pterrordaxes [Exotic]:

Krolusks [Exotic]:

Looks good so far, Wain. And I agree that the Lizard family needs to have a better icon.

I REALLY hope we keep those bees as tameable and they stay as small as they are. THEY ARE ADORABLE AND DESERVE TO BE PETS.
Though it also opens up the avenue for the Butterflies to be tameable as Moths, just shrunk down like the bees.
