Yeah, but in the end it's all down to personal opinion. Obviously my mum's wasn't the best opinion.

I would like to try it one day, but I'm afraid of thinking it'll be gross or something.

That's true. I've always been a little bit weird when it comes to food though

But the mix of soy and wasabi on a piece of maki is just nom. You could go with a friend, and then taste a piece or two (if the friend orders sushi), while you order something else?`:P

Yes, most sushi places do non-sushi food. It's a good idea to start on some easy things like salmon -- most people seem to find that tasty!

Here I am. Typical day trying to eat my breakfast while my daughter Mikayla stealthly reaches her hand to steal some, and my Cat Pixie slowly inches closer for a bite. (even though they BOTH got feed before me and my breakfast is cold now...)

I love it. It reminds me of my old lab, who wouldn't take her eyes off me if I had any food at all. And also reminds me of this pic:
It's pretty cool to see all the pics here and realize how diverse we all are yet still have this forum in common. The internet can be great like that. From Gammaman (nice pic mate!) who is twelve, to young parents, to old sticks like me. And I'm sure I'm nowhere near the oldest poster here

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous! :O Is that natural? I'm jealous!!! Mine has a few curls in random spots here and there, then the rest of it is straight or wavy. It's really dumb-looking so I end up straightening it as much as I can. But I would love to have your hair!

Hehe, thank you! Yes, it's natural. For a long time I had straight hair with a tiny flip at the end, but I got it cut one day and the hair dresser was just like "…You have curly hair. I'm going to let it be curly."
I was quite upset at first. >.> But now my chickens love it and it's easy to deal with so I'm quite happy with it.

It's funny cause it always seems like people with straight hair want wavey hair and people with wavey/curly hair want straight hair. xD My hair is naturally rather wavey, but it's not hard for me to straighten. And I don't know why but I really hate leaving it natural, it makes me feel lazy, idk. I straighten it pretty much 99% of the time.

Well, the problem with mine is that it's half and half. And if I do nothing with it at all, it looks pretty awful. That's why for the past almost ten years, I've had short hair. I'm growing it out right now, so I've had to learn to straighten it (I have no skill whatsoever with long hair).
But, yes, it seems like people are usually not happy with what they have. They always want what other people have. XD

My hair has finally come to a point where im fairly happy with it ^-^ Ive been using the garnier (honestly dunno how to spell it without grabbing a bottle) brand, the particular formula that repairs damage and my hair has improved dramatically. Its shiny, my hair stays reletively straight now ('cept the curl it gets in the bottom inch or so but thats fine), all i really have to fuss about now is the fact that i cant escape the frizz that has always affected my hair. I use my straightener once in a while for that when its really bad but overall i can def say that i truly do love my hair <3

Hmm, maybe some of it has to do with my shampoo. I'm using Dove volume shampoo right now and I don't really like it. I haven't been able to find one that I really like. I think part of my problem is that the hair that was dyed a few months ago is a little damaged/frizzy, and the roots up top are healthier. That makes my hair look even goofier.

I hate the dove shampoo, their shampoo products made my hair really greasy, no matter how much i tried to wash it out, its like it latched onto each hair and oversaturated it >< Ive found that the garnier product has restored my hair in quality, shine, color, and has made it a lot fuller. I go all day with it looking fresh and when i wake up the next morning its not greasy like it used to be, i could actually go out without washing it and still have it look like i just washed it that morning. Only problem is i get bed head bangs so i gotta pin them back if i were to do that xD

That's almost the exact same thing my hairdresser said to me when I finally gave in to my curly hair. I agree 100% about how much easier it is. I literally get out of the shower, throw in some curl cream goop the hairdresser sells me and let it air dry. I have been leaving mine natural (minus experiments with fun colors) for years now and it has never been healthier

Maybe you should try that 30-days-straight or whatever it's called. My mum's used it recently and there's been a noticeable difference. Basically it's just meant to keep your hair pretty straight for 30 days.
