Really like the electric horse evo, thev dark cats evo is cool. I will so be naming the normal dog "scuffy!" love the blue seaturtle, that eel/lamprey stands a good chance of being in my party. That hurmet crab made me laugh. Hey, didnt we say earlier that they needed to make one of those feathered/flying dinos into a pokemon?

well, I am sure I'll get use to these new ones eventually...and will hate some as much as I still hate bidoof/evo.

I'm sad about the fire piggy. I thought I'd love it, but the evolved forms are far too anthropomorphic for my tastes. Grass snake it shall be for me!

The Pokémon are hit or miss with me as well. Thank goodness I love pretty much all of them. :3

Also had a good laught at the fact that thw swan pokemon evolves from the grey/blue duck...everyone should get that reference!

lists are fun to make, and even more fun to look back on and see which ones you actually end up with!

Checked the mail...still no replacement card oooh plz plz come in the mail tomorrow or else I won't be able to order my game before the release!!! I want Victini!!

The HM's in the game are Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Waterfall, and Dive. well, that makes things easier...only need 2 HM slaves for it all!

also looks like there will be some gender differences to keep your eyes out for in B&W, some more then others...

I'm really liking this generation. Sure there are a few poemon that don't take my interest, but that's true with the previous generations too.

I have no idea what starter I'll be picking... because all of them just seem so underwhelming. there are just so many other pokemon in this generation I'd rather have. I'm leaning more toward the snake though, as there are a number of fire and water types in this gen that I really like.

I'll have to take a bit to decide that my team is gonna look like though, so many good choices XD
EDIT: Alright... I think I've got my team. Will probably change once the game gets here though.


Anyone else notice the two fighting karate types, Nageki and Dageki?

Anyone else really hope that Dageki has a yellow alternate colour/shiny?

(Okay, technically Nageki would need to be more orange, but it's a close enough colour to work)

Ooooo Senna...you might be interested to know that one of the fifth gen Elite 4 uses Ghost types!

The others use Dark, Psychic and Fighting


Apparently Cynthia from the 4th gen can be fought after you defeat the 5th gen champion.

She has her old Spiritomb, Milotic, Lucario and Garchomp....along with 2 others.

This generation is hit or miss for me. I'm not terribly impressed like I was with the other generations. I'm sure some of these will grow on me, but I need to get used to the idea that these are all Pokemon now. XD

Isn't there something similar to the Pal Park that allows you to transfer Pokemon from the previous games? I would really prefer not to trade all my favorites one by one again. That was a pain. x.x

Overall... I -MIGHT- get it... When is it due to release in US?

Dunno about release date...I DO know that there is like one or two Pal Park-like options in B&W

1 is the Pokeshifter....you put in 6 pokemon from your 4th gen games and peg em with Pokeballs fired out of a bow. There is a time limit

The other is the transfer machine, though that will ONLY let you transfer the Celebi and Shiny Legendary Beasts gotten from the Zoroark movie event

Update for my most resent run-through of Platinum..

Well, started two days ago, took three resets for a female Turtwig (Named Harriet). Traded a male Piplup (Named Waterloo, AKA Loo) and a female Combee (Named Eleanor) from SoulSilver. Didn't take too much to beat Roark and his damn Cranidos. I hate that little dino...

Anywho.. Then once I got to Valley Windworks, the battle with Galactic Commander Mars loomed over me. Ugh, I hate that Purugly of her's SO MUCH. Actually, it went down pretty fast. Zubat tangled with Loo, who was a Prinplup by that time. Purugly was up next.. I sent out Eleanor, thinking "Okay, either this is gonna go well, or she's gonna get her ass kicked by this cat!" Fake Out got a critical hit.. Heal.. Faint Attack.. "Scratch is SO gonna knock her out.." ... It didn't! And Bug Bite! There goes the cat's Oran Berry! Switch to Harriet, now a Grotle, and after three Curses, it only took one Razor Leaf to take that cat down!

Off to Eterna Forest.. Make a side stop to evolve my Combee first. Aaaand Eterna City ahoy! Go and catch a Meditite near Mt. Coronet, name her Bombay, send her over to Platinum for training and tutor moves. Send her back with Poison Jab, Ice Punch and Zen Headbutt. Off to fight Gardenia! Harriet took out Turtwig, and Cherrim went down to Eleanor. Only Roserade left... One-shotted by Bombay's Zen Headbutt!

Aaand off to fight Galactic Commander Jupiter! Ugh... Zubat went down to.. Bombay, I think. And Skuntank was taken out by both Eleanor and then Harriet. Turn off game for the night..

Next day!

Now off to Hearthome! Get a Riolu egg in SoulSilver, trade it just before it hatchs... Aaand I got a little Riolu! Named him Regal, then sent him back to SoulSilver for training. Sent him back.. Now.. Oh look, Bombay has three moves that are considered Beauty! Off to the Contest Hall! She totally swept the floor in that contest! Now that that's done with.. Off to fight Fantina! Duskull went down to Regal, Haunter lost against.. Honestly, I cannot remember! XD And Mismagius was taken down by Harriet!

Off to Veilstone! Hmm.. Make that.. To Pastoria! To catch a Chatot! It took, what seemed like forever, but I caught him! He's named Chester <3 He swept the floor with the Trainers in the Veilstone Gym, along with Maylene's Meditite. Machoke was taken out by Bombay, and.. Lucario went down to.. Regal! Gotta love it when a Riolu takes out a Lucario! XD

Team, as of now:
Harriet - Female Torterra, Docile nature, lvl 33, knows Bite, Leech Seed, Razor Leaf and Earthquake.
Waterloo - Male Prinplup, Brave nature, lvl 31, knows Fury Attack, Metal Claw, Bubblebeam and Peak.
Eleanor - Female Vespiquen, Naughty nature, lvl 31, knows Heal Order, Gust, Bug Bite and Power Gem.
Bombay - Female Meditite, Jolly nature, lvl 31, knows Poison Jab, Force Palm, Zen Headbutt and Ice Punch.
Regal - Male Riolu, Mild nature, lvl 31, knows Copycat, Shadow Claw, Screech and Force Palm.
Chester - Male Chatot, Quirky nature, lvl 28 (I think.. XD), knows Mirror Move, Sing, Fury Attack (Soon to be Fly) and Chatter.

We share a taste! Except for the starter. But I like that one slightly more than the other starters...

And I think I found this gen's Pseudo legendary!

#635, Sazando, a Dark/Dragon hybrid

You need 3 things to be Pseudo-legendary:

1: Be Dual typed (Dragon/Dark)

2: Be the final step in a 3 stage evolution line (check)

3: Have a Base Stat total of 600 (I did the math, and yes it does total 600)

I think I'm most excited about that awesome alligator one. But the fuzzy spider is cute, and I'm really loving that electric zebra thing. I have a fondness for black and white stripes. :3
