Magmaw and the Omnitron Defense System (the first two bosses in Blackwing Descent), plus the guy in vault. ^_^ The fact that we had Tol Barad at ALL was a small miracle. xD Lemme tell ya, everything hits really really REALLY hard when you're in heroic blues and very few epics! I got to Rapid Fire twice in the Defense System fight, and our priest hymned twice - long, long fight at this stage of gear.

I've gotten my Worgen Druid to 26, my 80 hunter co-main to 83, and I've just made a siggy of my worgen druid!

I am bad, bad, woah bad bad at intentionally taming rarespawns. I rolled a hunter and right off the bat managed to, despite stalking a Corrupted Scorpid a stone's throw from Death Flayer around Durotar for an hour, never even see said rarespawn-- and that trend has pretty much held ever since. But my new hunter needed a chimaera, because they're flappy and wooshy and I love 'em. But they have to be an Outlands skin, the vanilla ones are ugly. And I can't reuse anything I've decided belongs to another character, so the green ones are right out. Did I mention this hunter's pet color theme is blue/purple/pink?

SIGH. It had to be done. I had to go intentionally tame a rarespawn: Nuramoc.

I have to admit I suspected I couldn't pull it off. I get antsy if I have to camp a quest mob for five minutes. And almost every time there's a chance that I could try to obtain something and have it snatched away from me, I'm just going to turn and walk away. On the superstitious front, I already tamed it once on another character, and I killed it a few times back in BC. The rarespawn deities might thus declare that I've used up all my luck with this mob!

But @#$% it, I wanted my flying purple people eater. So about a week ago I installed NPCscan, dusted off a /target macro, and hauled myself out to Netherstorm once or twice a day. Y'know, since was in Outlands anyways for my Netherwing dailies. And all the frustrated hope was just as heartburn-inducing as I expected, but I kept doing my passes.

And then my second circle around Netherstorm today:

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

My victory lap consisted of 15 Netherwing Eggs. So... guess I'll be naming it Lucky?

Well. With all the questing Azunara has done, I stopped in IF to check out the mini-pets I could buy. I noticed I could buy a black whelp, (Then, personally, I want a red. Rhea's kid and all. >.>) but in the end I ended up picking up a black hatchling.

So now Raven has a more mischeivous friend. It still needs a name, but I rather like 'em.

Congrats Wark!! :D 15 eggs in one go is amazing! :o

Haha just kidding! Grats on the tame. ;) I know what you mean about the rare chase, personally I hate it so terribly much. My rare tames have all been pure luck or by the help of wonderful friends.

I did it! After playing for a good three years, attempting to play casters at least a couple dozen times, and always failing miserably...I finally got my mage to level 80!

Okay, it's not AS huge an accomplishment now that he's still got 5 levels to go for cap. But considering I only got Cataclysm a little over a week ago, I say it's still a noteworthy achievement. I've never gotten any other caster clothie past vanilla content, let alone BC, and CERTAINLY not Wrath. So. AWESOME.

I can't wait to quest with him in the new Cata content now!

Got my drake of the west wind, which was a bit of a pain, considering that the alliance on my server have trouble winning TB.

Pretty cool! :D

He looks good, Kalli!!!! I wish I could justify that on my priest, but I'll have to focus on getting that trinket first, and I'm not much of a pvp'er as it is...

I got a job! I mean, another job! This one's full time, it's basically what my degree trained me to do, and it's with an organisation I've dreamed of working with since high school!!! :D I'll be working 1 1/2 jobs for a while until I finish the data analysis and reports for my current job, but my current boss is completely supportive and happy for me! It's kinda unreal how things are falling into place.

Now I just hope I make it through the 3 month trial period... :?

If you decide to do it, you still don't have to PvP for the marks. :) And many of those rewards are HEAVILY PvE oriented. And that caster one is REALLY nice!

GRATS Sara!! :D You can do it!

Yeah, I'm doing the dailies when I can get someone to babysit join me (I'm sooooo damn squishy, not used to that after being a hunter for so many years... :?) cause that healing trinket looks amazing!

Thanks for the encouragement. I know I'll be fine, it's just that I've never gotten a job I wanted more. I mean, ever! This is quite literally my dream job! ... so of course that nagging voice in the back of my mind keeps telling me it won't last... *sigh* I'll try to ignore it.

Just out of curiosity, what will you be working with?

I'll be working with an international organisation's statistical department on a new project they're starting up about education around the world. It's an awesome mix of social scientific methods (both qualitative and quantitative, which makes me a happy camper) and stuff like conference presentations, collaboration with national governments and other IGOs, and writing reports. *gleeeeeee* :D

Pff! Social stuff!

Glad you got a job you enjoy, anyway. The only parts of it that make sense to me is scientific method and writing reports, but eh. Different people. ^^

Hehe yeah, I'd probably be looking for the nearest exit if you asked me to sit and do computer coding or put me in a lab...

Thanks. :)

Grats on your dream come true! Can't say that it sounds like fun; I'd personally prefer the lab. But hey, if it's fulfilling, then good for you!

OMG YAY!

So while flying around on the PTR, I decided on a whim to hit up Twilight Highlands to visit Sambas/Karoma, just to see them. I tab out while flying, then tab back in to see my corpse falling through the air and a giant dragon filling my screen. I also had an achievement.

....

I was torn between laughing and growling at that point, since I'd had no luck whatsoever getting killed on live.

Feeling daring/lucky/crazy, I went back out to the same spot in the southwest corner of Twilight Highlands on Kalliope and hovered in front of the Altar of Twilight. I knew I could get away with being in the air because of my PTR experience. Sure enough, a few minutes later, I tabbed back in to see fire spawning everywhere, an achievement in my immediate scrollback, and Deathwing just starting to fly off. FINALLY.
