Just a quick question. If I want to replace the secondary gene of one of my dragons, do I have to remove the current gene first?

Nope, you can slap genes on whenever you like. The gene removal scrolls are largely for those going for the basic look :)

Bah, Swipp has the Aqua Birdskull Headdress but I don't have the plant he asks for :( my team isn't high enough to farm it either...

What was the plant? I literally missed it by I'm guessing 10min if it was the item previous to the Black Tulip Flowerfall

Stonewatch Scrub, one of the new plant drops in Harpy's Roost.

Ahhhki, I wonder if I should grind some up.... my dragons do horribly at that level though. Been trying and getting frustrated leveling my first 3 Coli dragons since Flight Rising opened up and they're only lvl 21 >___<

I need a points guide for casters and physical .------. I don't know how to change things around so I can actually be decent at fighting

Hey hi hello I'm here to help with Coli!

My team is currently 15/24/17 (levels) but ever since 9/22/13 they've been able to chain-battle in Mire like champs. This is pretty much completely due to a few stats/abilities.

First off, what dragons do you want in your team? I run with one caster and two melee. This is my ideal combo- the caster heals the two melee, who can beat down almost anything.

For a caster, you want to put points into Intellect and Quickness- and ONLY Intellect and Quickness. I generally go with (roughly) four points in Intellect for every one point I put in Quickness, because Intellect is the most important. Then give them 3 Scholar stones (They don't work yet, but some day they'll be fixed), one Ambush, one Discipline, Aid (this is REALLY IMPORTANT, Aid will save your team) and whatever other spells you want- maybe an elemental bolt or something. Oh, and of course Meditate.

That caster will have pretty fast attack speed, and with Aid + high Intelligence, they'll have really powerful heals. This will really help if you want to battle for a long time without resetting.

For the melee, they should both have the same build. First, only put points into Strength and Quickness. I go with the same four-to-one ratio in general- though often, I'll put even more points in strength because I want my dragons to hit really, really hard. Then give them 3 Berserker stones (again, they don't work yet, but SOME DAY), two Ambush stones, Scratch, Eliminate (very important) and Rally.

This melee will hit very hard, and will attack often. However, they die fast- which is why you have your handy healer around. Rally can be used in the beginning of battle- each melee dragon should use Rally on themselves before they attack. Rally increases their strength by a large amount and is really useful while the stupid stat stones are not working. Once you've used Rally, use Scratch on enemies until your melee dragons have enough breath for Eliminate.

The next part is a little tricky. You want to get a feeling for how much health enemies have, so you never fail to kill an enemy with Eliminate. At the levels my dragons are at, one Scratch from my level 17 melee + Eliminate from my level 24 melee will kill any enemy in the Mire, so long as the level 24 has used Rally. (That's where the two Ambush stones come in- you get an extra turn in the beginning of the fight to use Rally.) This means that one melee can weaken the mob and the other melee will finish them off.

In general I aim for melee enemies first, because they'll do more damage to my team. If a dragon ever gets hit hard, just use your caster to heal them up. And if a dragon dies, don't worry- continue on to the next battle and they'll be back with some health, so you can heal them up then.

I am so going to save that in a word document x___x

I run with two casters and a melee, I thought melee to be the ones who could cost your team the battle cause of how long it takes them with Scratch to build up breath xD I also thought defenses were important cause I would die more than I'd win most of the time so I spread the stats out evenly. That's probably why I'm failing so hard hahaha

Any suggestions for a team of 2 casters and 1 melee? I can start a new one no problem, it'd save me from buying all of them tincture's but they're already so high I'm torn now

Edit: Saw the Aqua Birdskull Necklace at Swipp's Stand. Takes 30 Crowntail Surglings and 50 Sparrow Skulls. I hovered over the Crowntails cause they're new

I used to run with a two-caster team- it's not a bad set up, though I definitely prefer two melee. Two casters has a little slower damage output and they depend more on being strong against the enemy's element, so it can be trickier. I'd personally say tincture one of them into a melee- though the stones and such can get pricey! x.x
