Haha ;)

Bitza is usually used here in reference to mutt dogs.

There are two inside Helheim. One is a vignette mob (or rare?) in a cave.

There are loads of skeletal hounds in that area. I left suggestions that some should be switched to use the Guarm model because (i) it's not very well utilized currently and (ii) it would be kind of cool that there are more hellhounds there that are like "Spawn of Guarm".

You weren't kidding about the damage they do. OUCH! :)

It would be great to see those mana wyrms tameable, though. Cross fingers.

I'd really LOVE to see Pterrorwings too, but would prefer them to not be an exotic family. I just think they have been loved/wanted by so many for so long that if they were finally introduced with a limitation (Such as Exotic) it could be disappointing for a fair few hunters whom do not wish to be BM.

Another potential Exotic family... the only other new model that I can think of, that are in game and seem to have all the appropriate animations, would have to be these fanciful fiendish fliers

Oh I forgot about the Rocs! NEED THESE NAOW PLX.

So either Hipps, Rocs, or Pterrs.... I'd be happy.

Rocs would be wonderful, though right now I think I'd prefer something that is a bit different to current types of creatures. But if the devs were going to make them tameable they should consider Dire Ravens at the same time, since they're very similar in style. They could very easily form a combined family of their own, some sort of Dire Roc / Giant Bird thing. Or they could be carrion birds like the Teroclaws.

Ah, right. Extended Dinomancy then! :p

And I'd LOVE for Rocs to become tameable, the one you linked matches my Goblin BM Hunter's color theme perfectly. >_<

Thanks for the info! Seems like a bit of a waste for such a cool new model. Hopefully we see more of them in future patches. And they become tameable...

I know a lot of people really want them. But there are none in the Broken Isles, so if they did add a new family at this stage, my money would be on a Broken Isles one.

I too forgot about them... Sadly they haven't gotten much attention in general. They would have made a great mount and pet. But Rocs and Dread Ravens would definitely fit well in a family together if Blizzard would actually allow us to tame the latter; technically though, rocs are legendary birds of prey while (dread) ravens are scavengers/carrion birds. So they could also be split into those two families instead of having to form a new one, even though they do look like exotic beasts.

Hippogryphs, Gryphons and Owlcats would definitely make a nice new family together. Could just call it "Gryphons" for simplicity, or shorten it to Gryph.

Pterrorwings and Pterrordaxes could make a new dino-family called Skyscreamers, Skyterrors, or just call it Pterrorwings and include Pterrordaxes anyways.

And hell, if Unicorns can't be added to stags we could always get a new family made up of Horses & Unicorns named Equines, even though it's a little odd charging into battle with a wild stallion.

True, or a mechanical chicken. :P

Edit:

They could also change the Stag family name to ungulates and add horses, zhevras and unicorns to it. Technically, they could even add goats, riverbeasts, oxen and clefthooves/rhinos to an ungulate family, but I'd see why they'd want the latter to stay in their own exotic family plus that'd be quite the large family.

The one problem I would have with the 'extended dinomancy': explaining why raptors and devilsaurs *aren't* dinosaurs. ;) Otherwise, I'd totally consider suggesting it as a possibility. Not as a replacement for the 'new exotic family', though.

Mana Sabers wouldn't have been the first family that was so tiny—Sporebats only had three options 'til Warlords came out, after all. It definitely seemed a waste to create another exotic family for them, and I'm kind of glad they're spirit beasts now. Now if only Rylaks would get lumped back into Chimaera so we could stop this family bloat we've got going :P

I know it's a little unreasonable but since they're using the corgi model so often now, it'd be nice to get a slightly scaled up version for a hunter pet. I don't think I actually HAVE a dog pet right now (or a gorilla. No, I must have one or the other for stats, right?) but that seems like one of the existing families that could most use some padding. Gorillas too really, they're both filled with such old models. I'm not as much of a fan of corgis as the rest of the internet appears to be, but they ARE herding dogs and I know that the hunter in Enter the Gungeon has one, haha. I'd much rather have some other breed, but the model already exists so it'd be less strain on the art team (who could then focus on, say, fixing dwarf hair colour and night elf face colour and tauren fur colour, eh? eh? :P). Not entirely sure how large it could scale without looking funky, but it's a newer model so it could probably go further than, say, the old crow/raven model.

I'd love for the dog family to be expanded, and corgis would fit in just fine. We have a severe lack of good looking domesticated dogs in general... While I know Azeroth isn't Earth, if corgis exist then I'm sure we could get some hounds, retrievers, terriers, and other herding breeds like Border collies, German shepherds, etc. They'd be perfect, loyal companions for our hunters.

I really dislike the look of the mastiffs personally and it's just a shame that's the only dog breed we got.

I mean, otherwise why not just remove the dog family and add them to wolves, renaming the family "Canines" or something.

Because when they tried to do that in Cataclysm (including dogs and foxes in the family), the uproar was considerable.

Dogs are such an iconic pet IRL that I'm suprised we don't have more diversity in game. I'd love a pet based on Rotts, Pinschers, Shepherds, Shiba (because internet), Great Danes, Bernards, Malamute, Bloodhound, Boxer, Bulldog, Mastiffs, Retrievers.

And the family should have a special ability like the Fox dance or Bear sleep, but for Dogs they should drag their butt on the ground like the pug does :D
