Well that's pretty cool. Still kind of a bummer for me since I only have a Draenei hunter and a permanent wandering isles panda, but still cool for those with belf hunters.

One of these spawns in the last stage of the Blood Elf Heritage Quest. It is tameable. It is the only ghost Beast Abomination in the game.

*EDIT:* Taming it will prevent further progress with the quest. As usual, the quest can be abandoned and picked up again, giving BE Hunters a crack at two of them, if they wish.
I know I have the Heritage Armor unlocked, but I don't recall ever doing the quest at all - feels like I logged on and I had it. Sucks, since my hunter is now Vulpera anyway.

Oh, and Werebear, where ARE those little video game icons in your signature from anyway? I tried reverse searching, but no luck. They're cute.

Since that ghostly Gluth is only in the Blood Elf heritage quest, maybe there's something hidden in the others? I know allied races just get there armor without any questing or effort, but perhaps the other original races (and goblins) have a surprise hidden in them?

@Dialga: I messaged it to you as to keep the thread on topic.

Wow, this is a really cool find Kaydia! I seem to remember the Heritage Quest being available for my other blood elves, and luckily I did NOT do that one on Veph so I think it'll still be available to her. Might be fun to grab this guy since he'll be so unique. :D

EDIT: I can confirm that the racial heritage quest chain is once per CHARACTER not once per account. :) The NPC in front of the Horde embassy will still offer it, the quest may just not be visible as it's considered trivial.

Thank you all for the confirmation work!

Just connecting some dots- I wonder if these neat Nazjatar phantoms have become tameable?

I'm super excited for the expanded stable and new tames- particularly hoping more cloud serpent looks become available in the world. Give me a Fel-themed Cloud Serpent that made its' way to the Legion Area please!

Someone checked them out a few days ago and they were untamable, sadly :(

The white camel variant has been added to the regular camels in Uldum, so they now all four colours.

Wain riding Camelot, with his pet Camelnotsomuch! Nice to see all the camel colors available, though they're not my cup of tea.

Named rare Aqir Goliaths all seem to retain their names when tamed (I haven't found the Aqir Titanus yet).

Wait a minute, how can you tame the red one? Is that the one that fights NPCs in the middle of the ruins, where they take aggro instantly? Or am I thinking of a different one? Also, those guys are HUGE. That means they have HUGE guts!

That's the one! I used my existing pet to get aggro for a bit, then dismissed it and tamed no worries. But, also I never saw it actually target anyone, and it seemed to hit around, so I wonder if anyone had aggro at all :/

Strange. On live, when I taunt it with my other classes just out of curiosity, it immediately loses aggro on me to the NPCs that wail on it. Glad to know another named red mob is available then! Speaking of reds, is Vul'kaz available to tame on beta, or is he no longer around since the invasions swapped?

As much as I wish that, too. They probably will shrink to half that or less.

Better stock up on Kibbler's Bits!

Yeah, I'm assuming so too.

And I really hate temp 'fixes' like that, lol. Same with that crossfaction chatting potion. :|

I went to the Shadowlands version of Wowhead and pulled up their NPC database for tameable Undead and started checking things off the list. That was one of the first to come up since I sorted them in Alphabetical order. Seemed like the best way to be thorough and make sure we check everything.

How did you sort them? Is there actually some way to filter to find only tameable enemies?
