*Update*: Black Hunched Cats, new wasp models & Razzashi Adders, along with hoot-on-click monkeys, will be making tameable appearances in Zul'Gurub. I've made a vid on how to reach and tame them, solo, (as of the current PTR build) linked here.

Well, this MMO-Champion update informs us that both Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman will be returning--as heroic 5-man dungeons.

That's also interesting; ZG event? To get it out of the way--yes, the mounts will be available, although they make it sound as if the mounts will also be NEW SKINS. "Yes, we're proud to annouce that new rare-drop Raptor, Tiger and Warbear mount will be available, while the old mounts still have their unique beauty in hand."

About PETS:

We know that Zul'Aman recently obtained the unused yellow dragonhawk skin. If you want to tame yours, do it now, before they become far harder to obtain (requiring a group at the very least). However, more importantly, the new animal bosses will very likely be back.

Anyone who has done the STV chains knows that Ohgan's daughter, the little red raptor you raise from a hatchling, gets kidnapped by Bloodlord Mandokir (whom you resurrect inadvertantly, by his scheming). He says that she will be raised to be his new mount; you try and free her, and he simply redoubles his efforts to brainwash the little hatchling. The thing is, will she be in the new dungeon as a boss? Will she be hostile? Tameable? Will the other new and returning beasts be tameable? I personally absolutely loved the chain and was horrified that, in the end, your rescue attempts fail. I very much hope it's resolved or that, at the very least, a hunter can tame her!

So far, untameable hunched black cats (Swarming Guardian Ulduar skin), tameable lvl 85 blue cobras (old skin), lvl 86 green hydras (not yet tameable) and more have been found.

So many possibilities! What do you people see or hope for, regarding pets, in the return of ZG/ZA?

i bet the raptor mounts from the troll starting zone will be the new mount skin. they are red with blue armor

Ooooooh. I never did the chain, but I heard about it. I'd love to save meself a baby raptor!

Why redo ZA? It's a wonderful and still quite challenging raid. I really don't like the idea of it being a 5man...

However, I'd love to have ZG back! I did the chain, was quite epic But just entering ZG without seeing Hakkar there (who used to terrify me btw) just isn't the same. I wish for a comeback, for sure! And another chance for the mounts aswell

Oh my god, if this is happens, I think I'll collapse from pure joy. Every single time I go through those questlines (all too often, yes ), I wonder why we don't have a mount like that available. They are GORGEOUS!

As a side note and not really tamable pet-related...if you haven't gotten a Mojo minipet from ZA yet...you might want to start working on that, too, since we don't know what will happen to the little blue kissy-frog once ZA becomes a five-man.

Altho I'm still a bit peeved about years of farming wasted, I am curious about da new mounts...I wonder if da tiger would stand out as much as da original...

I never did ZA so I have no attachment there but that is cool to me. I never liked da.ZA bears (or any bear mounts in general) but I will probably still go.for.it since I'm a bit of a mount collector.

New pets are.always good.

After reading thru mmo, it says swift zulin panther...disappointed. All da cats are shades of grey...why can't we have a colorful one again?

Also, there's a mount called a.fire hawk...hmm...

I'm sensing warbears soon to be tameable! call it coincedence, but remember the posts I made here on offical forums a few weeks ago? hopefully I'm right and hopefully devs see that we can already tame mount skin pets..cmooooooooooooon amani warbear pet!

I think all of these were originally going to be available with Cenarion Expedition, but they cut it down to one (one added for Argent Crusade, and another for Silver Covenant later on)

But look at the blue and purple models! I wonder..

That includes one of the Raptors (is the epic mount loot card), the Hitching Post, (which is rare loot card), and Landro's Lichling (previously thought of as Landro's Phylactory) which is the common loot card.

I think that seems reasonable, 2 months away

Perhaps ZA will be available as both a 10-man 70 raid and a 5 man 85 dungeon? (We can still select options right haha.) It would be a pity to see more older content lost. But hey. It happens I guess!

It'll be great to see them now though and be able to play the dungeons again, even as 5 mans. I wonder how much is changed? ^^

Yeah, Royi, I was wondering which of these new datamined mounts will actually be TCG ones!

I do really hope that the Ohgan'aka quest line will be finished properly, though--that's my main hope. WITHOUT her becoming evil, preferably, or maybe being tameable if she does get brainwashed

The brown one was added for the Argent Tournament as well, so three have been used.

Before the patch notes were updated with a better translation, an 'Amani Dragonhawk' flying mount was part of the mounts list. Food for thought!

Edit: It seems it's still part of the mounts loot list, but slipped out of the notes.

This is in the next major content patch? oO Awesome. While I'm not sure if I really want that Dragonhawk, I will have to go in and farm up Mojo. I've wanted that pet for quite some time now. I'm still bummed I could never get any of those mounts when available... BUT THAT TIGER MOUNT SHALL BE MINE.

I don't know the exact name of which one thats going to be though, I'm thinking its the "Savage Raptor" since well, it looks moderately savage.

I'm excited for that Hippogrpyh quite alot, I'm thinking those dragonhawks are probably associated with the next level of Raid Achievements,
and the ZA/ZG Bear, Raptor, Panther, and Armani dragonhawk are probably just rare drops.

OK, that's kinda nice, actually. I'm also hoping for tamable Amani bears!

That said, the one thing that I wanted most form ZG probably won't be returning; Thekal's Grasp. I was able to get Arlokk's Grasp, and twice at that, but Thekal never coughed it up for me. I wanted to be Tiger Man soo bad!

Funny thing was, is that on 2 seperate occasions while attempting (unsuccessfully) to farm the ZG Tiger, I recieved both Thekal's Grasp and Betrayer's Boots (another epic from him). Sitting at 7% chance for each of them, it is approzimately a 0.5% chance at both of those dropping on the same kill. And that happened to me twice. Which recieving the Zulian Tiger was actually 4 times more likely to happen for me than getting those 2 epics at the same time on 2 seperate occasions.

But I digress, as a Goblin and lover of Nightsaber mounts, I will attempt to farm this Zulian Panther to the Nth degree
