So, during my PTR searching... I decided to see if the Nether Rays were finally fixed. (None of the NPC ones.. Even the ones the Skyguard NPCs ride.. Would actually fly. They'd be totally stock still, just.. Floating through the air. Even the Nether Ray Fry did this. Mount, luckily, did not. (Course, their camera bug has NOT been fixed..))

And what do you know! My Nether Ray Fry flies like it should! Now, I was excited over this.. But I decided to not post anything just yet.. But I just looked over in Blade's Edge and... THEY FLY NORMALLY! THEY'RE FIXED!!! :D :D :D

Hooray! Glad this didn't stick to them like the poor birds who have the flight glitch.

But freeze flying was freaking hilarious Shame the blasted camera hasn't been fixed though, not been wanting to use my mount ones because of it.

Yes, I'm still unsure why the camera is affixed at such an awkward position while on a Nether Ray mount. I'm less inclined to use mine for that reason as well, though I still love them.

I hate to say this, but on the PTR, both my pet Nether Ray and Nether Ray mounts are still using the motion-flight animation for idling : /

Necroed thread is necroed! Still, this made me want to check the PTR again to see if there was a change, but it won't let me in!

I popped over to Netherstorm to check since I'm on the PTR now - nether ray pets are still idle(pity) but the mounts appear to be okay. *sticks a band-aid on necro'd thread*

I think the "size" of the netherray mount is the issue with the camera. It's so huge, despite not actually taking up space. I'm able to get into places with larger mounts, but I can't even fly through some archways on the netherray, because it seems to be as tall up and down as it is front to tail. :c

Ergh, I let my Vorpal go because his idle moving animations bothered me too much. Hopefully they'll get fixed soon-ish.

I wasent aware of this sins i havent tamed a Ray in ages, and use my dragonhawk over my nether ray mounts.
I know this thread was old but..i dident feel for making a new one when there already was one out about em.

Its a shame so many flying pets have to go through this issue.
Hopefully it wont stick around for as long it did with birds.

Actually, birds still have issues; I've seen a few in the swimming animation. :/ Can see this on minipets too, like the brilliant kaliri.

I wish flying pets such as dragonhawks and such could fly with you on your flying mount.

I rather like the camera view for nether ray mounts, lets me camp Rarespawns a whole lot more easily cause i dont have my mounts head in the way!
