Jadefang and Sambas Question

Afternoon, everyone:
I'm looking to finish up my rare hunting before 4.1 hits. I recently tamed Karoma minutes after hitting 85. Finally got Ghostcrawler after about 18 hours of on again/off again camping, and now I'm looking into Jadefang and Sambas.
I would only like to know what are their spawn timers. I won't be able to camp Jadefang today since I don't have the daily, but Sambas is ripe for the picking. Any help is much appreciated.

as far as i know, all the cata rares have the same spawn timer (6-24 hours) except madexx who seems to be a little more unpredictable.
i would definitely recommend (for your sanity!) grabbing jade first, since he spawns in one out of the way spot instead of across half the map of a very high traffic zone. ask your friends and guildies if they have the quest! you can be blown up there using someone else's tickers.

Jadefang is about every 12h, with a 1-2h leeway.

Actually we're finding madexx has a spawn timer of 12 - 14 hrs generally.
Jadefang is usually 10 - 12 hrs. Sambas I've noticed is about 8 - 12 hrs.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I noticed there aren't too many Hunters on my server looking to fill up their stables. When I was camping Madexx, I only seen 2 or 3 Hunters the entire time. I never even saw a Hunter camp Ghostcrawler and Karoma was up for about 5 minutes before I got to him. That's why I picked Sambas to camp next. Once that daily is up, I will most definitely go straight for Jadefang, though.

Nuts, do bombs work on the opposite faction ? If they do, I could blow you up for Jadefang. I've only seen hunters really camping Sambas or Karoma. Ran into a few when I went for Madexx and Terrorpene. I suspect it's slowed as midterms/spring break draw near and more hunters have the pets now.

i've heard stories of opposite faction hunters trying to blow people off the ledge while they are afk, so i think they do...?

Thank you for the offer, Novikova. Back in the day, opposite faction players could blow another player off the ledge or where ever, so Blizzard changed it so bombs don't do that to them anymore.
Lol, also thank you for the in-game tell. That was me out there in Twilight. I was busy alt-tabbing in and out between fly by.

That used to be the case, but I think blizzard have fixed it, cos when a friend of mine tried to camp jadefang, another dk of the opposite faction tried to blow her of the platform, which didn“t work. : o

By the way - if you know a friend or guildy that has the daily or kept the quest/item, they can blow you up there. So you don't technically need to wait for the daily to show up. Friending a fellow rare hunter is probably your best bet. I have my Jadefang tamed and my mini Jade, but I still kept the quest/item in case anyone ever needs help up there.

For jadefang, just logout in his little "spot" then log on every hour or two to check.
the neat thing for Jadefang, is that he could spawn and no one would know about it for 30 minutes sometimes.

Yeah, I found Jadefang up today. I also found a hunter in the area who really wanted her. I feel bad because we beat some Horde to it by minutes, but I saluted and thanked them. It was about oh... 4:17ishPM server?

I didn't get a chance to post, but I managed to get Sambas. Quite randomly, too. I'm almost annoyed by it to be honest. I was tabbed out while watching some television. Usually the sound of NPCScanner goes off while I'm tabbed out. However, this time around, it wasn't the case. I tabbed back in and lo and behold this li'l runt was chilling next to me with a smug look. I have no idea how long he was there, which was the most annoying part about it. I'm glad I tabbed out at the right spawn point.
Now on to Jadefang. Thank you for the timer there, Novikova. I think I see the hunter who you're referring to. There isn't any other hunter around here. Though I suspect she's only here for the mini-pet, since I didn't notice a dual-spec tab. I'm only going to hang around for about 15 minutes, so maybe I'll see something shiny.

For Sambas and Karoma do you guys pick one spot and wait or do you fly over to the other spots - if so how long do you wait before spot to spot.
I fly to each spot in twilight highlands but after an hr I wear myself out. lol

Nice. I was getting ready for work when Jadefang decided to spawn. I think my camping days are over -- unless I wanna try for another Madexx. Maybe I should make a quick fly by before I leave.
My Karoma fine was completely random since I wasn't looking for him. For Sambas, I camped one spot and made my rounds every 15 minutes or so. The spot I camped was one of the 3 in the middle area. I was playing the odds.

the place i caught him, and the place i saw him the 3 times before catching him, was the spot right next to thundermaar. but my rare knowledge seems to be a little spotty as evidenced above, because i caught most of mine before much was known about their spawn patterns. :X

I can't say for Madexx because he is currently ignoring me, but for Jadefang--I sat in her cave for 15.5 hours straight before she spawned for me at 5:17am server time on Trollbane. Also, careful if you go AFK while camping her. I had a human hunter try to blow me out of the cave with those bombs from the daily. Thankfully I was near to my computer and able to get back to the keyboard before she knocked me out.

If it was a female BE with pigtails, yeah. She had a druid with her. If she just wanted the minipet over a tame, then I guess I don't feel too bad about my worgen pal beating her up there. I'm glad I grabbed Jadefang before the MMO champ post. And ugh, the nerve of some people. I couldn't imagine bombing someone out of the cave, though I'd admit to being tempted if they were a griefer or rude. >> But no, must not listen to wee devil on shoulder.
And grats on your tames!
Edit: As for Sambas? All three of my sightings were at the northern most spot. He might last longer at the out of the way spots because the one by the spiders is dangerously near a dailies hub.
