Ok I know I might come off picky /cowers but I really need to talk to a GOOD BM hunter about speccs for PvE!
So questions!
1. Whats the best PvE BM hunter specc right now?
2. What will the patch 3.3.3 change specc wise?
3. What stat should I foucs on the most?
4. Whats my AP 'cap'?
5. Whats my Agi 'cap'?
6. Any gemming advice could you give me?
7. Any enchanting advice you could give me?
8. What rotation goes with this specc?
SOOOO SORRY! For all those questions just like I like .. imput :3 Also Im a nub with BM now D:
If you look me up
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... n&n=Kairii you'll see that I am MM with BM PvP offspecc
I will also maybe use a spirit beast or devilsaur ... maybe retame my worm (yes I lol'ed to when I wrote that >.<)
Anyways MUCH MUCH MUUUCH love to all those who answer this

Ill erm do something in return
(probs some rubbish picture of your character as i fail)

In terms of PVE BM specs, you should check out
Giggle's Guide, it's very helpful.
But in terms of some basic answers, the next patch is going to add some changes, including a new
aura that looks like it could significantly increase BM DPS.
If you're going purely BM, it's best to gear/enchant/gem exclusively for AP from what I've been told, once you reach your hit cap (which is 4% for instances, 8% for raids). If you dual spec, going fully Agi is much better, as Agi benefits Survival/Marksman more.
A general BM rotation is Kill shot (when applicable), Multi-shot (when applicable), Serpent Sting, Arcane Shot, Steady Shot to fill in the blanks. Especially focus on getting Serpent Sting in there first if you have at least to t9 pieces since it'll benefit from the gear's effect
As far as a pet goes, Devilsaur seems to do the best for BM's, but spirit beasts are apparently not too far behind.

I can't answer all of these questions (mostly since I don't have the time to find all the resources at the moment) but I can tell you that AP and agility don't have a cap. Just like spell power for casters/healers, the more you have, the more damage/healing you do.
Generally, gemming for BM means AP AP AP. However, if you're dual specced, the difference between AP and agility gemming is minimal.
There's no rotation, only shot priority. It's been a while, but if I recall, this is how it goes (and please correct me if I'm wrong): You gotta put up Serpent Sting and HM (duh) and after that, the priority is Kill Shot > Arcane/Aimed (iirc they share cooldown? so Aimed if you've specced into it) > Multi > Steady. Refresh Steady as needed.
There are a bunch of threads on these forums that talk about this stuff, a little digging will turn up a treasure trove of information.
Edit: and there ya go, Velkyn beat me to it. Check out Giggle's guide, for sure

I also prefer SV. The little tip I can give you in BM (I only use it for soloing) is to conserve your CDs. You want to pop everything along with Bloodthirst or [name of random proc].

Though you definitely want to keep an eye out for good timings like above, I still wouldn't really say to conserve your CD's per se. Personally I pop mine whenever they're available just to give me that constant boost in DPS as I'm already working with the lowest DPS spec. If a boss fight is coming up soon then I'll make sure they'll be ready for that, but otherwise I'd recommend using them often.
As for enchants and gemming, check these pages:
http://www.warcrafthuntersunion.com/200 ... -enchants/
http://www.warcrafthuntersunion.com/200 ... -level-80/
They're a great resource, and the gemming page has things sorted be spec.

I think BM is a great spec for beginner hunters that are leveling (: but i wouldn't really recommend it for raiding. Not that it sucks, but it's rather difficult since the recent changes in my honest opinion. BM was amazing in BC (and still is if you know it well), i miss playing it on my BE D: but Surv (or what I call the "lazy spec" =b) = 2-3 button rotation and DoTs..
..so 5 seconds later, BAM! 7k dps in a 10 man.
But, nevertheless, play whatever you want to play or what you feel comfy with (: I personally like explosive thingys.. *hug Explosive Shot*

O_o if you don't like your guild banning you from playing alts, why not leave the guild?
If you're a successful raider I'm sure you can find a new guild that will accept somebody who knows what they're doing.

That's my bad, I just haven't played my BM spec for so long I forgot... Oopsie.
I'm sorry to hear about your guild. I tend to agree with Velkyn on this, if you're not happy I'm sure there's a guild out there that's a better fit. After all, we're what, 12 million people now, playing the game.

What a mean guild.
I'm in a successful raiding guild, two LK kills, and yet I play alts most of the time. That kind of guild certainly does exist. Knowing some of the officers IRL helps too, and I'ma put it this way. If you don't like your guild, leave it. There are plenty of guilds out there.

yes but i want to play my alts during raid times ... like i did just dissappear once for like 4 days on a alt >.> thats what they dont like though atm we were gearing my priest up for icc since lol its gear sucks >.< still dont have epic! ... bloody wands xD
and since im the only one to have lk killing exp in my guild (tyvm alts lol) they need me on a character they can contact so atm it sucks .. plus having 17 alts sucks to .... meh i get bored

and tbh its not a mean guild at all good omens is about having fun while progressing in raids even though most of the timee we done care about teh progress and just mess about xD and tbh with my way of playing and tact info the top guild on my realm would take me but id like to have fun more then raiding
but anyways back to topic hmm yus :3
ive still got my old bm raiding specc i messed about in at the start of ICC but i would love other speccs to compare it to fro others that have been in icc cas as most of you hunters know we need aimed shot sometimes for the odd boss *cough* saurfangnoob *cough* since sometimes rouges would rather sit and QQ then do their jobs >.>
and as again ive mention i have the gear to cover both speccs sadly my guilds other hunters just show up as and when they please -.- so i can roll on gear as OS if the shammies dont want it beats d/eing it :p
and as i also said im doing this for fun and plan to keep my MM specc ... till cata since arp is removed D: and will only be in my talents and amg sounds like a mind .... thing thats to rude to say here

I just plopped some point into a wowhead talent calculator, and a possible build with aimed could look like
this, perhaps? I haven't raided with BM since Naxx, so I might be off on some of the choices.
I put a point in Imp. AotM for the pet dodge since so much aoe goes around in raids now.
A point in Imp Mend Pet since I love being able to cleanse my pet.
3/5 Frenzy is enough to maintain uptime in raids, right?
A point in Catlike Reflexes for the shorter cooldown on Kill Command.
And then I plopped the remaining three points into Imp Tracking.
Do you need three points in Cobra Strikes, or is two enough? If so, I'd put the last point over into Imp Tracking.
What do you think? Might work, if you really want aimed? Is the extra instant cast worth dropping a point in Imp Tracking? (and where did I get the fifth point in Imp Tracking in the past?

Aimed Shot is not necessary...especially in a raid where there are rogues present. They can grim up and use Wound Poison on Saurfang and stop whinging about the DPS loss just as much as a hunter can grim up and use Aspect of the Wild to mitigate Vile Gas damage if asked to on Festergut.
With the 90% avoidance they gave pets, the points in dodge really don't do much, at least in a raid setting. If your pet is in front of a cleaving mob in anything save a true emergency situation, there is something very, very wrong. 3/5 in Frenzy is recommended, yes, as is 3 points in Cobra Strikes. I'm somewhat underwhelmed by Catlike Reflexes personally...although, with 5 more points coming in Cataclysm, if it still does the same thing then as it does now, I might well take it once my other DPS needs are met by my spec.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot to factor in the increased pet avoidance... /facepalm.
Thanks for the feedback, Tahlian!

Would something like
this make more sense? (Assuming the hunter really wants Aimed - for example if there are no rogues in the raid group.)

If you just had to have Aimed Shot, that's exactly how I'd do it...pull one more point from the Survival tracking talent.
It'd be interesting to see if after the 3.3 changes, having that one extra instant-cast shot would make a greater difference than the 1% damage from tracking. (Not that the 3.3 changes in any way affect Aimed Shot, but you never know...) Guess I can always spreadsheet it and find out!

You didn't raid in BC, did you?
And I don't have anything new to contribute to this thread, as it's already been covered, but it bugs me when people refer to hunters as huntards for no reason whatsoever. It's offensive, especially if you're looking for a knowledgeable one.

I believe she said huntard jokingly, especially as it is followed by a :p, and that smiley means (AFAIK) teasing in a joking mannern.
