So far it seems to be an upcoming novelty pet, but what if it shares a model with the next spirit beast? I have always loved wind serpents and the pet I had for the longest time was a white one (had it for almost two years). This would instantly be my favorite pet of all time if the stars line up right for it to happen..(pun intended?)

I'd still hate it, lol. The recent slew of "celestial" pets/mounts/etc. do nothing for me. I like something with texture and color. All these are are wire frame models with a couple sparklies to make it look like they thought about it. (I'm very opinionated, lol).

I don't like them at all, even after seeing the celestial horse mount in action. Gimme something with fur/scales/etc. any day!

I do agree with transparent pets. I don't really like gondria or arcturis (sp*). However from what I can tell this one is more corporeal and has an inner frame to it.

I would still tame yours (esp. the second one ) over these other things any day!!! I dunno, I've just never been fond of the transparent pets or mount (spectral tiger), and the fact that these have bendy little lines inside makes it even worse to me. It's like putting chocolate on a turd - deep down, it's still a turd even with the fancy exterior. (Horrible analogy, I know, but my hate for these "celestial" abominations grows every time I see another one)

Some pets I think I don't like at first (like spirit beasts), and they grow on me. These things are like bears or ravagers, I'll never like them.

The only way I'd even give these a second thought is 1) if they weren't ALL blue, and 2) if they didn't have the lines. Those nasty, nasty little lines.

I think a more interesting way to do the Celestial pets would be to have them corporeal - not see through, and have constellations and such constantly moving and shifting on their skin, perhaps with an ethereal mist emanating from them along with little stars?

I might be going against the flow here, but I actually like the current version of celestial pets. Tough I have to admit, Veph's idea is neat too. However, I can imagine that implementing animated skins would be hard, even moreso in order to make it look like they're not just a five second long repeating animation.

I like the lines, and I like the whole blue thing. I feel like it adds a bit of substance. These constallations aren't meant to look like something from this world. They're constellations. Fir example, noone knows what exactly Algalon is. All we know is that he feeds on your tears (blue post ). I'd love to get a celestial mount, or a celestial dragon minipet. Might jet be me, however.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm the odd one that just doesn't like them. Seems like most other people think they're neat. It's ok, I'm odd anyway so this just reaffirms it, lol.

I agree, I like the look. The lines would look odd in a regular model, but these lines make sense, since they're outlining constellations. It's like a living constellation just leapt out of the sky down to us...it's neat

I'd so get this pet if I could. The mount, not so much--but that's because I dislike how it's been animated, not its appearance.

Yeah, I definitely don't mind the idea of these Celestial creatures as pets and minipets. They're rather pretty, and I like the revamped dragon from what it was at first.

Still, I can definitely see where Edrawr is coming from. I think it's hit and miss....sometimes it looks nice, other times it seems to fall flat. I really don't like the horse mount, but I would want the dragon pet for sure. It would be interesting to see what a Celestial Spirit Beast might look like. If it turned out well I'd probably be camping it for a tame. x)

Maybe there will be a new Celestial themed raid and it drops the pet and the celestial horse? =D

That'd be odd...since the new raid is supposed to be ruby sanctum, isn't it?

That's more...dragony...than celestialy....isn't it?

If that were a pet, I would be first in line to camp it. I've never really liked see-throughie pets, but if I could tame that, I'd do it in a heart beat! I love how they look, especially the lines connecting each star! It's just portraying a laid-out constellation, and I love it! Then again, I've always been a bit of a stargazer, so I'm biased.

The celestial models in WoW are all semi transparent models with a second star model stuck inside it then sparkly effect filters added.

I like shiny. Shiny is good. Did I mention I like shiny?

I'd tame that pet, I just wouldn't raid with him.... yet.

The celestial models in game now are breathtaking to me. I have always been a fan of astronomy and "living constellations" whether they be companion pet, hunter pet or mount is of complete interest to me. Granted, I'd take the celestial pegasus without the girly armor, but... I wouldn't turn it down if I won it in a roll. I'd probably still pass that on to my wife (if she were in group) before binding it to myself.

Of course, we're also on a PvP server... and jealousy isn't expressed passively between factions on a PvP server
