Solaira's Pet Journal

((For lack of a better title...

Inspired by Tyger and Lupis' Pet Journals, which was orginally inspired by Kurasu, I've decided to make my own. I'm trying it with some heirloom gear, so it should end up being even more challenging, we'll see. I'll probably load pictures on Deviantart one day, but for the first go around, on my dad's computer, you'll have to click the imagey links. Sorry. >.>;

Rules:
1. ALL pets MUST be named after PokeRP characters! Even if it doesn't really fit them, go for it.
2. Pets MUST be swapped every zone.
3. New family for each new pet as long as possible. If not, do not double back to back, as in no bear, then bear.
4. Do not have the same skin, ever.

Here we go.))

Dear Journal,

My name is Saren Suncaller, though my family has called me Solaira for as long as I can remember. They say it's because of my cheery personality. This actually isn't my journal, it's my dad's. Ghost Girl, (I call her Ghost.) dug it up in the vineyard a few days ago. After reading it, I decided I had wanted to be a hero too, just like him. So when orcs came into our valley, I took up my father's old bow and my mother's lucky rabbit's paw, and Ghost and I were off!

I'm not sure what Ghost thought of the wolves. I think she found them neat. I did, at least. Never seen anything like them. They looked starved! Poor wolves. I take great care of Ghost. Look at her beautiful coat, after all. Anyways, we took care of some orcs and put some wolves out of their starving misery, and reported back to duty.

He seemed pretty happy to see us, if a bit shouty. You just can't please some people these days, sheesh. The Marshal told us to take care of some orcs, and this really nice farmer wanted me to put out the fires in her vineyard. She gave me this really awesome fire extinguisher!

I'll admit it, I got Ghost a bit wet. She didn't like that too much. Oh well, what can you do? If Ghost wanted to be sour, fine. But I wasn't going to let a sulky Ghost ruin my fun.

...Just kidding, Ghost. I still love you.

Anyways, journal, we're on the road to Goldshire. I'll write in you later, but it's a long trip and Ghost is getting impatient!

Yayyyy! More people doing this! I approve of the tie in to PokeRP.
I think I like Solaira. She seems like she has a good humor.

Yeah, I thought it would be amusing. I think all Sol wants is to be a hero. And protect animals. But being a hero comes first.

Also, I was supposed to have more, but I got distracted. Eastvale was attacked by a rogue, so I switched to Azu and took him out three times. Fourth time, he almost had me when the calvary arrived and more Alliance came to play. It ended up all out warfare, Horde versus Alliance...

All because that rogue wanted revenge on me. >.< In the end, it was him, 1. me a lot. :D

((Shh. Double post. Also, I'm not sure if Kurasu's thing banned this, but due to my one heirloom gear piece, I'm almost ten and have just hit Eastvale. I'm not sure how this will pan out, but I know there is no way I'm getting loremaster. :) We'll see how it ends.))

Dear Journal,

Ghost and I made it to Goldshire. First of all, that place is huge compared to the small valley we lived in. There were a lot of people there. I tried talking to them, but they kept screaming, "L2PLAY!" and "NOOB!" and "LOL!" at me. I think they've been in the sun too long. Dad's part says they're called "trolls", but they don't look like them. Whatever.

Anyways, when I arrived, the Darkmoon Faire was there! I read a bit about it, and it turns out it only comes one every three months. I got lucky. So, like any good adventurer, Ghost and I immediately checked it out instead of seeing if anyone need our help.

Ghost seemed really excited, so we ran around checking things out. There was a lot of neat creatures there, ones I have never seen before!

We spent a while exploring, but Ghost got bored and was done chasing the little green boy with the frogs. (Dad calls them orcs.) So she ended up dragging me out. Such a spoil---This rest of this page was torn out by some sort of creature, likely Ghost.

Anyways, Ghost and I were sent to take care of some kobolds.

I am getting really good at this whole shooting thing. The guards called me a natural. One of the farmers called me a hero! Not quite as exciting as it could be, given it was from a farmer, but we always start small. On our way back, we got attacked by this huge bear! Ghost and I took care of it easily though.

Her name was Princess. We got sent to take care of some murlocs, too. Those guys are nasty! Ghost didn't like them either, they smelled fishy and they were meaner than Ghost when I took away her chew toy. At least we were done with kobolds, and our murloc troubles were over with soon enough. I hope I never see either of those two races again. Eugh.

We've been camping at this logging camp for now, and been taking care of the wildlife. It makes me a bit sad to kill them, but you have to do what you have to do. Ghost is enjoying herself, it's a plus at least. I'm going to go collect some wood, then go to sleep, so I'll write in you soon, okay?

Cute Azu. ^_^

I imagine you have the freedom to do yours as you wish (as even I'm not directly following what Kurasu did; I have each pet I'm going to tame pre-planned out so I don't accidentally cross over). On Roxíe I have no BoA gear, and no professions (excluding cooking) and I'm finding that she tends to out-level zones before she gets the quest achievement for them. Part of that may have to do with having my pets pre-planned and having to do a lot of zone hopping. She's only got two quest achievements though--Southern Barrens and Western Plaguelands. I'm guessing she'll get more as she levels and it takes longer to reach the next level.

Well, I've already hit 12 and I've barely started Westfall. Since Sol will level only in EK, I may swap over to Kalimdor when I need a new pet, then go back to what I was doing in wherever I was. Technically, follows the rules as far as I'm aware.

That's what I do on Roxíe; pop into a zone to grab the pet I need (with some brief RP reasoning for it) and then go back to whatever I was doing. But I also tend to plan where I quest in the zone closest to the next pet I'm going to tame; made sense in my head to do it this way so the RP story would sound a little better.

*nods.* I did work out the higher level Outlands/Northrend and go with what my dad suggested: Just take a pet every zone. They're a lot longer.

And heh, I'm making all of this up as I go. It should prove to be unique.

Heheh, I've found that *so far* I can get an easy five levels per zone, so at the end of each zone - aka 5 levels - I pick up a pet from that zone, then abandon all quests and move on to the next area.
However, at level 20 this is easy. At 50? Maybe not. xD

Yeah, I ended up leaving the last quarter or so of Elwynn alone so I could move on. Poor Ghost. Made me sad when I dinged.

Roxíe just hit 40 and 5 levels per zone still works out. With the sheer amount of questing in each zone, I imagine it'll stay possible for a good while, especially since most of her pets are pre-planned, I tend to finish of the last bit of the fifth level in the zone I need my pet from as pertaining to Kurasu's rule of taming the pet from whence I dinged.

((There's a secret reference to Dawn and Dusk in this one, if you can find it.))

The next following pages are stuck together, and the ink is barely ledgible. It seems that the writer was crying when she wrote this.

Journal...

Ghost and I had been camping a little south of the valley, near Goldshire. It was nice to get away from the noise. We got ambushed by a bunch of orcs who had been invading. We managed to hold them off, but Ghost was severely injured. Somehow, we got to Erma, a friend of my dad's and Goldshire's stable master. Ghost will probably live, but she won't be able to fight with me again. I've...left her in Erma's care to recuperate.

Ghost...

The next few pages are blank, showing neglect. Finally, it picks up again.

Dear Journal,

After I left Ghost, I stayed in Goldshire for a few days. I was visiting the faire again, when I saw this pig trapped in a cage. It was screaming and tearing at the bars and looked furious. So when no one was looking, I freed her. She was really grateful, and really sweet. Her name is Scylla. So Scylla and I were sent by the local Marshall to go to Westfall, there were reports of murder.

When we got there, we saw the most horrible thing. There were these two dead farmers and a horse! The man there said he was a detective, Mr. Horatio Laine. I was supposed to help him, and I did, gladly. How could people kill an innocent horse? And its owners? That's why I want to follow my dad's footsteps. I don't want anything like this to happen ever again.

So we asked the locals for information. When I say locals, I mean transients. They didn't have homes, and they were all mean and ornery. They were fighting each other, and when they killed each other, little kids rifled the bodies!

It was really scary. But eventually, we got the info they wanted, and Mr. Laine told us to get some clues. I met creatures worse than kobolds: gnolls. Even worse...

Oh no! Murlocs!

Scylla and I managed to find the clues, and Scylla seemed really eager to protect me. When we were surrounded by murlocs, she happily took all the blows while I fired arrows at a safe distance. She didn't mind much that she got hurt. She's a tough old pig. She's different than Ghost, definitely. Ghost didn't really snuffle my boots or oink at me. Then again, I don't think Ghost can oink. Next time I'm in Goldshire, visiting her, I need to check that out.

Another trip to Mr. Laine and we were off to Jangolode mines where we saw...kobolds! Ugh, I think I hate Westfall. I guess I have to get used to the whole facing your fears things. There are things a lot worse than kobolds and murlocs out there, according to Dad. Anyways, while I surveyed the situation, Scylla was taking care of the kobolds.

We went to the back of the mine where Scylla and I crowded into boxes and kept an eye out. There was this huge fat dude with two heads and this shadowy lady. They were scary, kept talking about "the Dawning". Something about that sounds really omnious. Me? I prefer Dusk. After we returned to Mr.Laine's spy-people, and got a candle from some guy who hates kobolds as much as I, we were sent to eavesdrop on some thugs. They asked me what they did to eavesdroppers, and they didn't like my idea of a party. They, sadly, aren't going to like much else more now. Do the dead like things?

We heard something at the farmhouse, and came back to a scene of chaos. Another dead.

We're off to the Saldeans, to see what they know. More later, journal, once I figure out what's going on. Something strange is happening, and it's up to me, Solaira, to save Westfall and figure it out. Oh, right. Scylla will help too.

And yeah, I was so sad when I had to put Ghost in the stables. D: Scylla took forever to come up with a name for, but I figured she'd make a good pig. And her personality is a complete opposite. x3
