It was incredibly weird!
It started at 1%, went all the way to 299%, then went negative and counted down from -299% to 0%,

It took from early afternoon to 3 in the morning. But finally, it asked for my username and password! Yay! Then it asked for what server I wanna play on! Yay! and then it... UPDATED?!?
Aw, c'mon! Foul, cheap shot, unfair!

I can only guess but it sucked over 9GB through the wire so far.

They want only the best! Only the toughest, most stubborn players are allowed on LotRO! So they put you through some hard times to get to the free 14 day trial...

They are very selective about everything XD A friend of mine applied for an internship there and they refused him because he didn't know enough about the extraneous LOTR stuff (he's seen all the movies and read the books). We were joking that you had to fluently speak Elvish to join. >>;

I've read the books 16 times in german, 3 times in english, saw the movies 6 times (all three) and even participated in an LotR-movie.marathon where we watched all three extended versions in a row, no pause.
And I only have a 14 day trial version!

Only the best come through...

Ah, the Turbine Download Manager, how buggy that thing can be.... No, seriously, that thing has so many problems whenever it needs to patch games (like DDO), and the most common solution to problems patching/running Turbine games is to reinstall/remove that thing. xD
