Mania Ill; Mods in Charge

I regret that I haven't been available much recently. I seem to have the flu - bad enough that I'm not able to spend much time upright, even at the computer. And it doesn't help that the car broke down so I can't make it to the doctor. (Although to be fair, there isn't much they can do for the flu anyway. Fluids, rest, rest, fluids.)
While I'm out of it, the mods have been keeping things running as usual. They have full authority to do whatever needs to be done while I'm sick.
Okay - that's this episode of uprightness. Back to bed. Love you all.

Do get to the doctor when you get the chance, however.
If you are coughing seriously it could be a sign of a pulmonary infection, which would require antibiotics (which was my case. influenza lasted nearly 2 months).

Yes take in as much fluids as your body can handle. Gatorade first and foremost!!! If you cannot get that then water and juices.
Alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 4 hours for pains /fevers if you're able.
Sleep often!
Sadly, yes with any virus it does need to run it's course but if you're ill longer then 4 days see a doctor especially if you're holding fevers.

I hope you feel better soon. Try to not come back unless you have most of your strength back (you will probably need it). You don't wanna get sick again from pushing yourself to far.

I am feeling much better, thank you. The cough is going to hold on a while, I think - it always seems to - but I can sit upright for hours at a time now! And the car is fixed.
And no, I'm not happy. But I have plenty of painkillers and a big red ban button, so we'll see what we can do here ...
