I recently got back into WoW and I don't mean the logging on doing dailies logging off sorta thing I've been slacking off on! I mean wanting to raid ... Maybe even PvP and such! D:
BUT my stables are kinda a let down so I've came looking for some advice :3
Pets needed:
Corehound
Snale Spider
Silithid
Raptor OR Serpent
Wolf
Devilsaur
Ravager
Dragonhawk OR Wind Serpent
Cat
Spirit Beast
Hyena
Sporebat
So theres like 12 pets already only 13 more slots to fill.
So now to the pets I would like sorta 'dream stable' if you will.
1. Corehound Terran
2. Snale Spider Spectre
3. Silithid Archie
4. Raptor Bartis
5. Wolf Mishka
6. Devilsaur Krushie
7. Ravager Talia
8. Wind Serpent Bane
9. Cat Sekhmet
10. Spirit Beast Hazard
11. Hyena Lou
12. Sporebat Boomie
13. Bird of Prey Harleen
14. Fox Vixen
15. Turtle Vulcan
16. Warp Stalker Vartox
17. Worm Squishable
18. Chimaera Aegeus
19. Carrion Bird Valda
20. Spirit Beast Elu
21. Spirit Beast Selina
22. Spirit Beast Eclipso
23. Spirit Beast Kitrina
24. Spirit Beast Auron
25. Scorpion Skorpio

So that's how I want it to be with names I would like them to have, may change depending on my mood (yey for inscribe!) Main question what do you think? Think I have enough to cover missing buffs and adding extra ones and not forgeting vainity pets :) Or do you think I should take different pets? I'd love any comments and advice given :)

Also free drawing to whoever can guess where most of the names came from ;D

elven fictional characters in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium?

Anyways...to your question. Spiders make awsome pvp pets (I am simi arachnophobic but can stand the company of my beautiful Uttu, she is a glass spider skin...and I have matching vani pet..lol)
Cant think of much eles.
Here is a link to my stable if you have any questions on any of the pets I have I'll gladly give you my opinion...just remember it is only one persons opinion though :)

lilaughingwolf, silithids are exactly the same as spiders, except they also provide the Fortitude raid buff. So, she has that covered.

Speaking of redundancies, unless you are going to PvP or raid in a non-BM spec, having both a wolf and devilsaur, and both a cat and spirit beast, is redundant. You could also get away with not bothering to tame a hyena; only non-subtlety rogues and MM hunters have bleed effects but don't innately provide the bleed increasing debuff.
In fact, for the pets that you have just because you need to, with 4.1.0 you'll be able to tame anything and have it raid-ready in minutes. So, you could have 5 spots devoted to raid pets that you don't have any attachment to, and sub them out with another kind of raid pet when needed, depending on raid composition. Just some ideas; I personally haven't even tried such a system and seriously doubt that I ever will.

Are those names from DC characters? Or comic characters in general?

For your wolf, since you are interested in the black coyote model- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SNARLER!!!!!! He's my favorite puppy!
