Recently in my drawing and drawing theory class, we've started sketching landscapes. I have to say this is one of my favorite units so far, and I really enjoyed drawing a picture of some mountains. We were given homework over the weekend to draw another landscape ( Yay! ), but I got hit with a mix of procrastination and art block, and with a few hours until it was due I managed to pull something off the top of my head- a lovely view of Uldum, right where Madexx spawns.

This got me thinking, maybe I should do other pictures of rares or the area they spawn. I flew up to Silithus and managed to snag screenshots of Lapress and Zora, both of whom seemed unwilling to have their pictures taken, and Grubthor, who happily stopped in front of my camera and even gave me a smile.

I eventually want to go and snag screenies of the Northrend and Cata rares, and Nuramoc and the outland croc ( and Hawkbane when he comes back! ).

Any other rares or spawn areas you're particularly fond of ( or maybe not fond of, but find very memorable due to hours of camping? ) For multiple spawn point creatures, such and Loque or Karoma, what's the most interesting spot?

If I ever find a way to post my pictures to the forums... I totally will!

Hmmm... Terrorpene has a nice place, because of the glowing fire and lava all around you.

Rak'shiri's home is lovely, too.

The Evalcharr--Azshara has always been a beautiful zone.

Favourite tamable rare has to go to King Krush. Love that big green dino, and Sholazar Basin is a very beautiful place. My favourite spawn spot of his has to be the one below the Glimmering Pillar.

However, since you said you're already going to take shots of all the Northrend rares, let me suggest an old favourite, Humar the pridelord. Something featuring his tree overlooking Ratchet would make for an interesting art piece. :3

Okay, this is not a rare, but I will post this just because I think it can be a pretty nice picture.

Imagine the northern end of Darkshore. There are ruins from a forgotten time. In those ruins you see a lonely, white cat. A memory, a ghost of past times.

Recently somebody posted a thread with screenshots of Gondria in her native habitat, which brought back memories of my tame of her. She's beautiful.

Favorite tamable rare... probably the sewer beast.

Redridge isn't the most scenic of zones, but it does have a distinctive palette.

Some of Skoll's spawn points are quite pretty. And Humar's tree would be a great scenic one. Not sure if you're looking only for rares in landscape type areas, but there's a spider in Silverpine that's all the way in the back of the cave and she hangs from the ceiling. That could be interesting--creeped me out when I first saw it.
