I was looking at some hunter threads on the official forums and found where Novi commented on one, so I decided to have a look at her stables! She has the blue brain bug that I have been looking for (with the brain exposed) but I can't seem to find it on petopia. The only one I can find anything on is the blue brain bug that doesn't have the exposed brain. Can someone point me towards this little guy?

This is the only model/color combo that has the "brain exposed" look at this time.

The armory actually shows ALL the brain bugs with their heads open and brains exposed, even though only the Hive Controller does this.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the only open-brained bug available at the moment is the purple one. :/

To get the exposed brain bug you need to head to Thousand Needles and go to about 67,92 on the map, yes you are floating over water. Head down into the water and soon you will find the entrance to a silithid cave, go to the back of it and viola! There is your brain bug :] I have him tamed myself, named Kri after Lord Kri in AQ40.

P.S. Don't bother with unlim breath potions you have plenty of time to tame the beast and get out safely

Ugh yeah, this is such a damn annoying thing... I hate looking at my brainbug on my armory because, well, I don't like the exposed brain thing. Every time I see Talulah like that, I feel like abandoning her. I don't know why on earth they didn't make the armory model with the unexposed brain.

Same thing with Terrorpene showing as Ghamoo-ra on armory? Or its just for me :/

I think I've checked that... think it shows correctly.
Unfortunately I've not got a char that has Ghamoo-ra to re-check or prove!

Nope, Ghamoo-ra, at least on the EU pages, does not show up at all!

Also it doesnt show Chromaggus (Draekodon skin). Atleast for me ;/

Yeah theres quite a few that don't show (some common models). Some that do show are unique models (ghost-hydra/slime etc).

I wonder why they decided to start accessing the pets via numbers instead of their skin name... I guess to stop people like me randomly testing skins to see if they have been made ready for the stable view

(i.e. Ghamoo-ra looks for 37143.png, Terrorpene is 37282.png, Sambas is 37342.png). Not sure what these numbers represent, as they are not NPC ID's etc.

However he does exist when looking for the full skin name:
