Rare Tales

Me and my poor guildmaster have had a rough 12-24 hours. Since rift stole some of our guildies we haven't been doing much so my guild master decided she was gonna get the last Spirit Beast she needs and the one she wanted most of all, Loque'nahak. Now I got my Loque back in Wrath but her hunter wasn't leveled enough the first time she found Loque. She flew around for a few hours the night before with nothing to show, besides King Krush. So I agreed to help...When I got up. My guildmaster started her camp at 7am and..Nothing...I have some major sleeping problems so I didn't get on till 5pm and with still nothing to go on I shared a piece of information I had dug up, about how since Cata hit there could only be 3 rares up in Nothrend at one time, how we could speed up the spawning if we went out and killed the ones that were up. It wasn't much but it was better than sitting in the Basin all day!
So I sat in the Basin for her and she got on her rogue and started flying around and from there all we could find were the rares out and about. Rare after rare after rare. Now this went on for a good four hours, we had downed 7 rares in that time. While I was checking for Loque I came across..KING KRUSH! DAMN! Not who we wanted. We talked it over and then started to ask in anyone wanted him and right away a guildy jumped up and said he'd take him...Well while I asked in general if anyone wanted him a 78 druid tagged him! D'Oh! I quickly sent out some whispers to get the druid to stop and they said 'well then trap him!'...Ya King Krush doesn't trap too well..The druid died and I took aggro, Krush gnawed on my face until my guildy got to me and tamed him. He was very happy and I talked to the druid after who was very understanding. We left the druid on good terms and the guildy agreed to help us on our rare hunt!
And hour and three more rares down I was doing my 15 minute circle around the Basin. Our other guild had left so it was just me and the guildmaster, most us watching videos or tv while on our rare hunt. Right as I got to the last spawn point, right before the northern gorilla mass I see something big...And not a monkey...The only I could think of was to yell 'Get over here NOW!' Loque was up. She wasted no time switching from her rogue to her hunter, who was parked right on the same spawn point. I tried to trap him but a gorilla walked into the trap so I just watched him. It didn't take long.
My guildleader's hunter alt and her new kitty! Huzzah! I thought she was going to reach through the computer and hug me she was so happy. So I ran and got my Loque and we took some pictuers.
After we ran a normal dungeon with our Loque's...I completely forgot how to BM so It was fun re-learning everything on the run. And I still pulled 10k dps. =P Anyways, after a small break we were talking and I said I had regretted letting go of my Aotona back in Wrath since I need the stable space. Well that was it. My guildleader(who was VERY tired) agreed to help me get my birdy back! The hunt was on again!
We killed things for hours and Aotona stubbornly refused to spawn. At about 5 in the morning we switched, she hadn't found anything for an hour so it was my turn again. Plus she was very tired. I don't blame her, she had almost been up for 24 hours pet hunting! Well while flying over by the Cursed offspring I see a yellow dot in the see of red, no alarms had gone off but I knew and said it simply in vent 'Gondria is up'. We started looking for a home for her.
My guildleader had made some hunter friends while she was trying to figure out spawn times and one of those hunters did want her so I waited, watching the special kitty.
The tame was slightly messy(the other hunter forgot to put away his core hound) but he got her. And he was really happy. He told us he was gonna go check to see if the bear was up. We'll I was going to head down that way as soon as I was done my rare sweep in Zul'drak so it would save me some time. While still in our party we get a message not 30 seconds later saying 'GOT HIM!' and then some cussing about needing a free slot. Arcturis was up too. This lucky guy got two spirit beasts in one day. He was also very happy, and so were we.
But still no bird. My guildmaster had to go to bed so I was alone. It was just before 5. I signed off, waiting to take a break since I had been at camping for awhile myself and now I had no one to clear out the other rare. I was beginning to give up hope. I mulled around the net for a bit then walked the dog, thinking about how close I was to getting her and how I shouldn't give up! I came back home, logged on and 'WOOOOOOOOOOO' all my scanners went off...
THE BIRD WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Scared me half to death!
Tame went off without a hitch(wing buffet missed. =P) and I was one happy hunter!
Now what this makes this tame really special is that well..This was about the spot I tamed her last time too. So my girly had finally forgiven me and shown herself to me once again. Though last time I had her I really didn't give her a name, while reading about Aotona someone had said they named their's Azura...I liked it. So I gave her a proper name this time.
