Oh it could be a place holder for sure, it's total speculation on my behalf, but with a name like "legs" I was just hoping for a tiny tripod of my own

Well it can't be a sporebat they don't have legs!

They'll often reuse similar icons rather than drawing something completely new, and that sporebat image looks close enough to me to represent a marsh walker. :3

Well I have a hunch sporebats and marshwalkers are related in some way. They share to many tihngs in comman.

Warcraft Pets says it will be a new Outland Children's Week reward. Only bad thing about that is now I'll have to do those quests on all my lvl 60+ toons.

Despite me aweing over the kittens and ooooing at the marsh walker it looks like the raptor (still cant remember her name from the quest line!!!!) looks like shes grinning at me LOL

For the new baby raptor, does this mean they'll be removing the (identical) Razzashi Hatchling if they're adding this one? Or will both be available?

im gonna guess its replacing it since Razzashi Hatchling was in the old Zul'Gurub and they talked about wondering how to add it back into the game since it was no longer availible, they're both identical in terms of graphic and the new version is probably going to be from Zul'Gurub itself, possibly a drop from the raptor dude or a reward (possibly the baby raptor from the horde quest like becoming your newest companion, same as how Skywing gives you a minature version of himself cursed as Miniwing)

the good news on those is that they are the common loot cards in that set, so the most you'd have to pay on ebay is like $15 as opposed to $100 for say a spectral kitten T_T

Right now, however, the Razzashi Raptor's available as a zone drop in Stranglethorn. I like the idea of zone drop pets -- any time you're in the zone, there's always that chance that you'll find something cool while leveling/questing.

I got mine the old fashioned way, farming the old Zul'Gurub. When news came up that it was being removed from the game, AH prices skyrocketted -- the little bugger was going for more than the Battered Hilt! The same thing will happen again, IMO, if they take it out, since a different name (Lashtail, vs. Razzashi) means a different pet for collectors. Regardless of the fact they look the same, I hope they'll keep the first raptor in.

After all, they'd hardly be the first pets to share graphics. The Lifelike Toad looks just like the Wood Frog, and no one complains.

o_O i thought it was specifically a old Zul'Gurub drop blaaaaaah -_- i hope they keep both in-game, depending on how hard it is to get the 2nd version i might just farm the Vale like how ppl gotta farm foxes for the fox kit pet

If they do make a new raptor one thats red I'd still get it XD
