So, I trained a Gilnean Hound with my Draenei hunter and loved the fact that it changed between three different colors; black, gray & reddish-brown. Now, I think the reddish-brown has been taken away And the reddish-brown was my favorite of the three colors. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, this seems to be true. I also have a Gilnean Hound on a lowbie and just logged in and dismissed/resummoned about 20 times and it only turned up in one colour (grey). So the red seems to be gone. Btw, I thought it only ever came in two colours, not three?

Too bad that this was your favourite colour The only other red mastiffs are in Scarlet Monastery at level 32. But considering how fast we level now it shouldn't take too long until you can get one of those. And then you'll have a doggie with a stable colour, so that's actually better, isn't it?

I'm the opposite - the gray is all I wanted. From the moment my dwarf's red hyena morphed into a red jowlmutt, I've disliked it.

The red hound, to me, looks more tan... and soft. Like it was shaved or something.

...It doesn't turn up red anymore? Well then! Looks like I need to go grab one for my baby tauren that only collects black/grey/white pets, then!

LOL i pictured a shaved mastiff and then i saw that post and started cackling XDDD!

I personally hate the mastiffs... ive tamed and quested with the colors but i cant click with any of em sadness
