I think it would be neat to have a mobile version of the forums so it would be more mobile device friendly. What you do think ?

I really don't have a problem with the forums on my Droid. /shrug

My LG Cookie manages to use the site rather well The only time it would count as failing is when Virgin decides I need to re-register to be over 18 D:

I for one would love if the tiny "this way to new posts on this topic" icon/link were big enough to reliably hit with a finger instead of having to zoom and/or bring out the stylus.

I'd be happy to try. I'm not sure what changes a mobile version would need, though. I hate to admit it, but I refuse to join the mobile generation. It could be because I never move from in front of my desktop computer.

Anyway, let me know what sorts of things would help make a mobile-friendly version. Links to articles and tutorials on the subject are also welcome.

A mobile friendly version is essentially just a single column, with minimal art and large, push-friendly buttons.

But you can remove sigs and such in the contorl panel anyways.

Enable word censoring:

I suspect a mobile version would be more convenient that switching them all on and off as you change devices.

Yes it would.

Here is an example of what a mobile version of a site looks like. This actually a application for androids that has it's own browser basically.

It is I dont have a 'driod' or whatever you call em now day phone XD
My lil LG cookie is only made for basic web like google and well is doesn't handle facebook to good either but i can update and talk to people still ^^

Just having a link in the header or footer that temporarily disables sigs and images for the current session would be nifty.
