So I was on Reika flying around in Uldum mostly.. bored out of my mind, was about to go into a dungeon when who do I see but green madexx! *face palm* I got him yesterday so I really dont.. want a second one.. like my second blue.. otherwise I will not have any slots whatsoever. So I asked in guild, noone wanted him or was high enough to get him.. did a /who uldum and no hunter. So I went into my dungeon with some guildies and pugs, when our tank had to afk a bit, I jokingly told my guildie to go hug the next boss.. I did NOT expect him to actually go and hug the next boss we managed to survive and my little Gackt (second blue mdexx) tanked most of it when I got out of my shock that he actually pulled and dismissed my karoma to take out my maddy. Tank came back we went about our merry way, then poor guy had wife agro so I teleported out of the dungeon to see the little green guy still up! and I did a /uldum again and found a hunter! I asked him if he wanted to tame Madexx, he asked what is a madexx? so I told him horde scorpion and he said of course! So I directed him to where Madexx was, and.. he couldnt find it.. I explained it more and more to him, went back into the dungeon cause apparently the tank came back and they were pulling (sorry! :lol) finally after... 15 mins or so, he said he found him! I said yay! and grats!
then finished my dungeon, got out of the dungeon only to see.. Green Madexxs corpse.. .... I then asked him what happened, and why he didnt tame it. He then said and I quote "because I am not BM spec" at this point all color has drained from my face, and I pointed out to him that Madexx was a regular scorpion and that you didnt need to be BM spec for it, and that I wouldnt have directed him to Madexx had I known he was going to kill it, I then asked him why he thought you needed to be BM spec for a scorpion, he then said "cause it has a rare elite tag" .................... I then told him, that rare elite tags has nothing to do with it being exotic or not, that he should have just asked me first if he didnt know, like why would I spend 20 mins explaining to him how to find a rare only for him to kill it. I would have gladly tamed a second one just to prevent its death.. I always ask someone if they have BM spec when an exotice rare is up.. I guess I should have been more specific with him, as in saying did you TAME him? instead of did you GET him.. but I assumed he wasnt this *insert whatever name you want here* and would have attempted to tame, or beast lored it or something...

I had not quite the same thing, but close... Was in Hyjal when I found terrorpene up. I tried a couple of times, but did not have the enough haste to tame before I would die, so I searched for a hunter. Did a /who and found one in Hyjal. whispered to see if he wanted terrorpene, and he said yes. I grouped with him and right before my eyes, he swoops down and proceeds to kill him. Needless to say, Terrorpene wiped him out. I"m so supprized at this especially since he was trying to do this with gondria.. He tames a spirit beast but is trying to kill Terrorpene??? When he rezzed I ask what are you doing. He states taking out the elite. I couldn't believe it. I asked... don't you want to tame it? he says back... He's tamable? hell yes!!!! /facepalm. After a couple of attempts.. and deaths, I slap myself as I realize I have a corehound. (One for the fact I could have tried it myself, an then again for not using it to help him).The next attempt he gets Terror. And thanks me profusely. I suggested for him to go look at Petopia so that he can see all the pets that are tamable.

I have learned from this and now when trying to rehome a pet, I explictly explain when searching to see if they want to tame. I still smile when I think about that hunter wiping out trying to kill terrorpene. hehe

I have no idea how he got to lvl 80, let alone 85.. I mean do people REALLY think a person will whisper them to come kill a rare? I mean really in what world does that happen unless its asking for help to kill it... it's like it's not that hard to ask if he's tameable before hand... *face palm*

I abandoned my green Madexx this morning and in favor of a blue Madexx. Now.. for the red one..

lol Terrorpene does decent damage to 85s with no pets out i mean one time i tried to tame him dismissed my main pet then tried to tame no go for some reason but i didnt even realize that i had 5 active pets already so i hurried back to ...somewhere in hyjal? and put one of my pets away and when i got back it was still there so i tamed it defintely a worthwhile pet and the pics dont do it justice similar to Skoll in that its appearance constantly changes.
If u see an exotic pet that u already have and do a /who zone hunter ask their spec and if its a non-exotic rare tell em about it bein a rare pet and nothin else if they cant figure it out they area near borderline retarded rares killed by every other class and hunters whats up with that?
