I dont think this guy is in-game but im not a mini-pet collector so it may of completely passed over my head without knowing

New minipet for the blizzard store at a later patch? I know the winged lion mount is going to be the next addition, perhaps this little guy will be added as well or a little later on? Dont worry, the model seems to be complete, he has all his toes and fingers and wings and glow that trails as he flies. Celestial Steed doesnt show its sparkly awesomeness in the model viewer.

That's been there since Ulduar (er, whenever they added the steed), I believe. Just never been used.

This pet has been on WoWhead for a while. There were comments made last month that someone talked to a GM about why this pet was never released and the GM told them that it was from an event that is no longer available. I know that the there have been many pets in the past that were only released for EU or other servers so I wonder if maybe this was the case for this one as well.

It looks like a recolour of the one I got when the olympics where on.

It was added to the database in the same patch as the sparkle pony. Unfortunately it was never used.

It's possible that it's a reward for non-US and non-European servers. There are some items only available on Chinese and Korean servers, for example.

To get this mount your gonna need the 7 dragonballs.
