So after convincing myself to go and farm herbs in Twighlight Highlands, I went to Sambas' spawn points. Now I went to the very top east spawn point and saw him! he was already sort of tagged in a way. A hunter had tagged it but had kept shooting it to about half health. Scared, I dived down used one Arcane shot and then a Distracting to get him away. The hunter had a worg who he was trapping and another that was his pet. Now I don't know the full details of how he was doing it and I don't know if he was in mid-tame of Sambas but I did tame him. :S Hard to follow since I'm still shaking from the NPC Scan noise. I feel really bad for the hunter and tried to talk to him but he just sat there and didn't move for about 10 seconds. I said sorry if i had interrupted his tame and that I felt really bad about it if I had, I armoried him and it turns out he has 525 herb/mining. This is relevant because I thought since he didn't say anything that he was either REALLY mad or a bot. Which yes, is a bit extreme but there are a lot of botters on my realm. I feel so bad that I'm about t release him.
TL;DR Felt bad about maybe interrupting/stealing Sambas from someone.

It sounds like it was a bot, really. You don't need to damage Sambas to tame him.
It sounds to me like it was indeed a bot - there are a LOT of them on my realm.
Don't feel too bad! If he was just shooting Sambas, he was probably going to kill him, as there's absolutely no reason to attack Sambas more than once for tag.

Totally sounds like a bot if he had a worg pet out too. Really, dont sweat it. If he was really mad I bet anything youd have heard about it.

Sounds like a bot that took my first un-interrupted Arc tame away from me. Just kept shooting and auto attacking him.

you should report the hunter for botting, then put in a GM ticket to get Sambas back

Yeah, especially if the hunter was stuttering and/or acting funny. It does sound like a bot. Did they send you any tells after? Because I am betting dollars to donuts that if it *was* a live person and not a hijacked account/robot/zombie, they would have sent you a ... few choice words. Like, even though I'm a pretty gentle critter if someone pulls a griefing stunt near me or at me, I usually go 'Hey dude, what's up with that?' to see if it was genuinely malicious or 'oops'.

I hope you didn't release him. It sounds to me like the guy was a bot too - if Sambas was already down to half health, and the other guy was just standing there, it is my thought that the guy was either a bot, or not interested in taming him. Did you see if he happens to have Sambas in his stable?

Hugs. Don't feel bad- things like this happen occasionally - I would agree that you saved Sambas from an untimely death.

Alright well just to make sure I don't make any enemies I sent him in-game mail because he didn't respond to my tells. I said I would help him camp another Sambas.

That sounds like a good plan. That way you are sure you have done everything to cover your bases just in case it was not a bot. Plus that is a very honorable thing to do. On the bright side, you now have a very pretty blue-eyed kitty!
