Well, finally...

When Hunters were able to get special pets, dependant on their spec, I, of course, went nuts. Spirit beast after spirit beast came to join my stables and all was well. But another type of critter was of great interest to me, and that was the whole devilsaur collection.
When a lowbie, I was eaten so many times by King Mosh and company that I left Un'Goro early, even with my fear of insects, to quest in Silithus so that I would stop turning around and being BOOM, dead. So, of course, as soon as they were made available as a pet, my highest hunter at the time tamed one. She had a neat white devilsaur named Marshamllow... but it really never worked out. Of course that was the time of the whole "Opening of the Gates of Al'Quaraj" debacles that meant overwhelming undead, and loads of server bugs and crashes. So the "not bonding" thing might have had other sources.
And then Arisia came about and as soon as she could, I claimed a black devilsaur... but again, it didn't quite work. I really had one I *really* wanted, but hell, I hunted and hunted but never could find him. Which, you might ask? The LIME GREEN one. No really-- if you must have a T Rex as a pet, you really DO need one the same color as Lime Jell-O. But there is only ONE whole devilsaur with that color, and as we've all read or experienced, he is one elusive ginormous lizard to find. So yeah... never saw him...
In THREE YEARS plus of hunting... I have never EVER seen him in his Scholozar home, save once when I logged in to see him dead in front of me, which really made my day. In another thread in this forum, I was assigned first a white, and then a black Devilsaur to "take for a test run" and while I had kept the white one for a few weeks, she too failed to really gel. Deep in my heart of hearts, I still yearned for the green one... the one I knew I'd never find.
Today, on my way to the daily running of Sethekk (5 mounts until 100!), my friend Sie who was online leveling her rogue comments in guild chat. "Oh look, King Mosh!"
I go "WHERE! WHERE!" and so began this comedy of errors where I practically kicked my taxi mount to land, then used a tabard to go to the Tourny, and then kick my own mount to get to Scholozar in time.
And he bit me... and feared me... and THREW me for a goodly amount of feet... but I was stalwart and true and soon the golden light of TAME hit...
