So, I'm curious as I see vague stories about people wanting to buy things etc - and then I hang around with my friends/bf on WoW who are all excellent AH players. I'm curious to see how much gold people in general (or at least on these forums) have.

My bf is insane - he was in the 200k+ category before Cata, and used most of his gold to buy himself shiny epics etc for a headstart into raiding/heroics, but is still back to over 100k I think now x_x Crazy man.

I don't do that much on AH, but I typically I have 14k-25k around with me. I'm building up money at the moment, I want a Sandstone Drake.

My alt on Nersingwary has nearly 1k at level 50, but only because I've been selling raptor hatchlings and blues that I've been finding.

If you're talking pure, raw gold, I'm over 30,000 at the moment. If you want to factor in professions as part of that, I would easily have a total value of over 100,000 gold.

Just raw gold ^_^ Not the stuff you've spent or could theoretically make!


Yeah, gold seems pretty easy to get through questing and selling blues and stuff. I happily managed to save up 5k for my alt's epic flying by the time she hit Sholazar (convenient for rare camping!).

At the moment I'm sitting on 12k on my main realm.

On another realm I only just started a baby Hunter on (said Hunter is now 60), I passed 4k last night. Looks like my streak of affording an epic flyer as soon as a toon hits 70 is still holding strong. ^^

I'm sure my guildies in <Petopians> are well aware, but I play the AH like a fiend. I've even helped some of them start to play it like I have.

12k, but not for long. Just need to finish grinding out titansteel and I'll be getting my Hog. x_x Then it's back to being around the 1k area on good days.

Main realm, 30-60k+, spread across alts and such but thats the normal amount give or take.
Alt realms normally have about 30k on them.

Then it all depends on if I can actully be bothered to use 3 characters to AH >.<

I think I have ~10k left. I gave about 1k to my MIL for her DK's flying/NR flying and gave some to the boyfriend for epic flying or something like that. I accumulate gold and don't have anything to do with it so I share it with them. :3 Maybe some day I'll get an alt to a level that NEEDS epic flying, rofl. Until then, I do my dailies and acquire gold and it sorta sits there. It doesn't typically break 12k or so though. I also skin EVERYTHING that I can... I love the spider dailies in TB. SO much money sitting there... and it's MINE! bwahahaha! [no, I don't ninja it from anyone but when people walk away from it I tend to skin it]

I only have about 15k or so. Was close to 30k before I got the mechano-hog. There isn't anything I really need the gold for, I just want it to have a large amount to look at.

WAY to little.. never seams to get more then 2k on me at anytime before i use it on minipets

Until Monday night/ Tuesday morning i had 47K.....now im down to 3k as I got my sandstone drake

Im at about 31k as of today. Guildie of mine has 4 toons that are gold capped though lol. He owns our AH on glyphs and made about 200k the first night the pre cata patch came out. I hate him

yeah i usually find things to blow it on, especially with engineering (3 mechano-hogs, loot a rang, gnomish gravity, etc)

Train Set is awesome! Train smasher guy is equally awesome!

But yeah, I spent alot on getting 100 mounts on my hunter too. Worth it? probably not.

I'm usually sitting on less that 1000 because I tend to spread my gold across all 9 of my Horde toons on Alterac, and there's always *something* I just have to buy, usually mounts and small pets, but sometimes AH gear, especially if, like in one case, my lvl 45 toon was still wearing stuff from the Wailing Cavrens. Mats can also take up a fair bit of money, if I'm feeling lazy and don't want to gather them.

Also, I have Artisian Flying on 4 toons -- that took up quite a chunk of change (I refuse to actually buy Master flying -- it's not like you need it to ride specific mounts. I'll get it when I get my violet protodrake). If I happen to have around 500 G I'm not doing anything with, I usually put it in <Idealistic History>'s guild bank, in case my guildies (all relatives or good friends) need the money.

On my other two realms, my toons aren't a high enough level on either to have much gold. I think the max I've had on any of them (highest lvl - 35) is 50 G

I'm at about 26k and my main and maybe 30k with my alts combined. My main hunter and my druid both have 310% speed flying though the hunter's was free with her Violet Proto Drake. My hunter has two gathering professions though, and I play the auction house often.
