<INSIDE INFO> Upcoming Features For 4.2!

Hello there, Petopia! I am the elusive 'Noah', here to tell you about exciting new features of World Of Warcraft that are planned for 4.2. Since I've been talking with Wain, he's many times tried to encourage me to come out of hiding, but of course I always cited my need to stay behind the curtain and let you all know the excitement of the PTR quietly, without being bombarded. For these amazing features, however, he suggested it again, and I just couldn't pass it up. I've been working overtime to make sure that my beloved hunters get some of the *coolest* new stuff when the patch goes live, and here, in no particular order, are some of the secret features that I am wanting you to be the first to comment on.
NEW EQUIPMENT SELECTION
With all the people reporting their desire for hunter tanking options, we have finally listened. Now, hunters will have the option of being able to wear plate and carry shields. That's right: now all gear really *is* hunter gear!
NEW WEAPON TYPE: ROCKET LAUNCHER
Ancient goblin technology has been unleashed upon the world once more. Big and slow, these weapons really pack a punch! At 4.0, these are the slowest ranged weapons in the game by far, but the punch these pack more than makes up for it! The true marksman weapon of choice.
NEW TALENT: PROFESSION SYNERGY
Hunters have been complaining that the usual compliment of beasts aren't enough for them, so we are in alpha test of a new feature to allow your professions to add a new family of pets to your bar. Ever want to have a radioactive ooze for a pet, but missed your chance at the Spirit Of Koosu? All you need to do is be a high-level alchemist, and you're set! Want to bring your trinkets to life? Jewelcrafters now have the ability to summon, control, and tame gem cats! Engineer? The powers of the mechanical are at your fingertips; build and program your own friends. For a skinner, who hasn't wanted their own flesh golem? And herbalists will, obviously, be able to grow their own grovelings and treants. Each profession has their own special pet! Choose which profession is right for you!
NEW TALENT: TAME MOUNT
Since we are still unable to convince those higher up of the need of being able to tame such creatures as stags and horses, we have done the next best thing: the ability to tame your own mounts. Selected creatures in the game can be tamed for the purposes of adding to your mount collection: ride stags, clefthooves, giraffes and shoveltusk. Tired of the other side having all the cool options? No longer! Tame a raptor or kodo to ride as Alliance, tame a saber or ram to ride as Horde. We are also attempting to implement 'mount' options for all of the present available hunter pets as well. Ever wanted to ride a devilsaur? Now you can!
NEW PETS: BONE BEASTS
Hunters have been clamoring for the ability to tame the undead raptors and windserpents of Tanaris. After long deliberation, we have decided to incorporate these creatures! Additional skeletal creatures will be added as the game progresses and we are able to incorporate more of the players' requests! We have not yet decided whether to add existing 'undead' to the list, however rest assured that you will be the first to know.
NEW PET FAMILIES
We are working on implementing a number of new hunter pets to the list. After reading a survey of favorite suggestions, we have carefully selected our favorites from the list and are intending to create groups. Finally, there will be tamable basilisks and pachyderms! The long-anticipated tamable penguins! And of course for our Welsh, New Zealand, and Scottish players: tamable sheep!
TAMABLE WORGEN
We have been thinking long and hard, and we have decided that the removal of Garwal was one of our greatest mistakes. To that end, as our apology, we are once more making worgen into a tamable race. Alliance now have the ability to set themselves 'AT WAR' with Gilneas to be able to tame themselves an aligned Worgen pet as well. And to help head off complaints about the unfairness of Horde vs. Alliance, Tauren are now also a tamable race. Both races, naturally, will be considered under the family 'Alliance/Horde Dogs'.
In closing, I will of course remain on the board as a helper and member in good standing, and continue to bring sneak peeks of our continuing work in The World Of Warcraft. Thank you for your many years of good input, and have a happy April, everybody!
