Laughing hard right now. See, the Blizz April Fool's today is a silly joke about a little blue crab that will appear on your screen in dungeons (think Microsoft Word Paperclip) and offer "helpful suggestions" about boss tactics. Basically a joke on how everything's being dumbed down.

HOWEVER, when you visit the WoW forums, the crab is there on every page commenting on what you're reading. He even links to the meme-song Friday

Oh, and when I popped over to check if there'd been any replies on one of my posts, he asked if I would like him to summarize the thread. I clicked yes.

Didn't know it did it on the forums too! Would be a cute little thing to enable/disable in the Interface menu, I love my Microsoft Paperclip. xD

If you check the comments on the Friday youtube vid, btw, it's currently just hundreds of WoW players bitching that they got tricked into visiting the page

This is way too funny. I have to say I'm becoming attached to the little guy.

Actually, upon reading his description, I *really* think there's a certain amount of the population who would actually run with him if he were staying. "Crabby can do a quick audit of your gear and tell you where and how you can improve your equipment."

I think both of the April Fools ideas would be pretty fantastic if they were implemented. I'd imagine a lot of PuGs would drop on Tomb of Immortal Darkness...but not if Crabby was there to help!

I know what I'm naming Caboodle's Ghostcrawler when she gets to that point now. :B

(Also, a lot of the people don't seem to realize it's an MMO-Champ joke rather than a Blizz one, and are raving angrily about how Blizzard's fake ideas are better than their real ones )

Theres a lot more new ones out there. Some of my favorites:

•To ensure Orgrimmar and Stormwind are the premiere cities for Cataclysm, NPC’s have been removed from all other cities.

•Female worgen have been cured of their curse and now have only a human form.

•Ever a player favorite, the level-80 10- and 25-player raid of Icecrown Citadel is being reintroduced as a level-85 Heroic 5-player dungeon.
•Ever a player favorite, the level-85 10- and 25-player raid of The Bastion of Twilight is being reintroduced as a level-85 Heroic 5-player dungeon.
•Ever a player favorite, the level-85 10- and 25-player raid of Firelands is being reintroduced as a level-85 Heroic 5-player dungeon.
•Ever a player favorite, the level-85 Heroic 5-player dungeon of Deadmines is being reintroduced as a level-85 Heroic 5-player dungeon.

•In order to make the Cataclysm expansion appeal to all players’ sense of nostalgia, shaman, druids and paladins may now only queue as healers when using the Dungeon Finder.
((I actually remember my raid leader refusing to give a dps cloak to a paladin in ZG because "paladins only should heal"))

•Female warlocks are now correctly called witches.

•Rouges equipping helms that resemble eye patches now suffer a 2% hit penalty from lack of depth perception.

•Some paladin abilities did not contain the words Sanctity, Divine, or Justice. This has been corrected.

•Hunters now earn Valor Points when they are effectively Vote Kicked from a Dungeon Finder group.

•Druid forms are now considered vehicles, allowing one player to ride on the druid’s back while in any form, even their humanoid form.

•Due to player feedback regarding night elf, blood elf, and worgen “flippy” jumps, player characters can no longer jump.

And finally my favorite:

•The mouse can now no longer be used to turn player characters. In many cases, this gave certain players a slight advantage over those that used their keys to turn.

I love crabby, it makes me sad that he's only visiting for the day. :<
If someone manages to make an animated gif of this guy, I would use him for my signature so fast. XD

Absolutely yes! I said the same thing when I saw him. He's very cute & I love crabs as pets.

I have GC - but renaming him Crabby would go against my pet theme, so I won't do that. Regardless, he's pretty cute!
