My oldest dog Toby was crying all last night. As of recently, he hasn't been doing very well. Been very picky about what he eats and we've been hand feeding him some soft food. He was anemic the other week and one vet thought it might point to Kidney Cancer. Another thought it was his insulin from his diabetes since he hasn't been eating much so we cut his insulin by half.

Well, my mom and my brother took him to the vet just now to see if there's anything more we can do. He was lying outside all day in the sun and he doesn't move much due to his arthritis. I'm hoping this is just something that can be helped. I wanted him to at least live to see the summer since that's his favorite. If you can, send him some good hope and pray. I really want him to pull through because I'm not sure I can.

Awww, Aleu :*( My thoughts and prayers go out to Toby! I don't know what I would do without my Buster!!! I'll be keeping him in mind until he gets better!

RIP Toby. You where a very good dog. You had 13 years of happiness. I'll try not to cry, but I'll miss him terribly...



I think my mom is going to have him cremated and keep his ashes. He's gone, but no forgotten.

I'm sorry for your loss, but Toby is not hurting anymore, and it's important to remember that. He will always be with you.

Turns out, my mom isn't cremating him. He's in a casket right now and they're looking for a place to bury him. My mom wants to be able to plant flowers for him on his grave site. I think I'll be okay after a few days. Won't be doing much though.

I just lost my favorite mouse. I know a mouse might not seem like a lot, and she may not be as wonderful as your dog, but her cuteness (and fatness :P made me laugh alot) helped me when I had the blues.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of your dog Toby. We lost our greyhound, also named Toby, to bone cancer in early January, so I know it's very, very difficult. *hugs*

Thank you for the kind words everyone. He's in his final resting place now. We put some stones and such on it for now. My mom will likely plant some flowers there in the spring.
