Okay, I've been camping TLPD on and off on my main since before Christmas. Saw it once dead back then, put in lots of hours but never kept track. This week I've rigged it so I can camp overnight while I sleep, so I've been camping. I'm going to use this thread to keep track of my TLPD hunt... wish me luck guys, cause I'm going insane.

If you don't know already, the site tlpdresource.com is brilliant. Even though it was designed for WotLK, I still believe it's worth following exactly (despite less people being in the area now in Cata). I also think that if you're serious about getting your drake, that site is the way to go

I recently got my drake after about a month of camping. I lost out on two of them due to purely bad luck - but I got my drake and many people who I know were camping there on/off and weren't following the site missed it; in fact if one bloke actually had read/followed that site he would have got it and not me! One change I'd make from that site (if you do, or choose to, follow it) is that it's fair enough to do a loop around Brun every now and then. I had a tally of something around 20 Vyra's to my TLPD... it's very inspiring to keep count... and just remember, every Vyra you kill COULD HAVE BEEN TLPD xD (that's what kept me sane).

I GOT HIM!

Camped overnight after seeing his corpse yesterday at 11:30pm.. started camping again at 12:00am this morning. A friend was camping the Brunhildar spawn, and neither of us saw anything all night. I woke up, moved my computer to the living room, kept camping... went passed the 10 hour mark with nothing which I thought was weird, maybe I had missed a spawn. There were lots of people in Storm Peaks, but most of them didn't stay very long.

So I'm sitting watching Precious with my boyfriend, the computer is on the table. I didn't even hear NPCscan go off or anything, he just looked at the screen and was like 'Proto!' and I looked and saw the little icon at the bottom with Time Lost Proto Drake on it. Holy panic batman! It was flying south from Valkyrion towards me (I was camping on the mound of snow by the tree facing the village) and coming towards me. It was low enough that I thought I could dismount and shoot it and fall without dying... nope. I died, panicked because I saw someone camping just up the frozen river. I ressed, chased after it and pulled it to the mount where less than half an hour ago someone was camping. xD Killed it, and proceeded to have a goddamn heart attack!

So yeah.. I'm very very very happy. And a huge thanks to Trav for being less dumb then me and seeing it <3 I'm so glad that I never ever ever have to go to Storm Peaks ever again.... 4 months of on and off camping and a week of straight camping is enough for me. xD

Grats! I got mine recently, but I didn't have to camp nearly as much as you did. I know you must be relieved its over.

Oh yeah definitely! Hopefully I can begin to recover my sanity now :p
