I've started this camp for Aeonaxx since I gave up on TLPD cause he's ugly and Aeonaxx is purdy....

Any advice for this dude?

There really isn't much on him other than "do circles around the spawns" because his spawn points are so close to each other.

actually I find it very useful, it shows you which camp spot is the best one, videos of each spawn location to see the height of aeonaxx and where it is exactly. And dont forget blood seeker will ruin your day hes a ninja vyragosa, he spawns then despawns even quicker, in under a min so if you find him you get 6 hours to relax atleast, he doesnt have a huge agro radius like aeonaxx though, a yellow dot actually.. saw him this morning, and couldnt for the life of me find him lol

I couldnt tell which was the best spot and the maps confuse me cause NPCScan shows him flying around the middle but that site says he doesnt.

NPCscan overlay is the most useless addon for TLPD and Aeonaxx camping it's not funny. 3: I follow/believe aeonaxxresource/tlpdresource any day over overlay, in fact I don't even use overlay myself for anything. I was another person who found the site incredibly useful. I would also discount ANY wowhead etc information in favour of AR/TLPDR info. Just personal opinion of course, but it's worked for me.

I'll have to reread the site then.

I always discredit wowhead comments on critters such as these.

EDIT: I'm examining the map...almost all of those spawn points are pretty much in NPCScan OVerlay's range.

Yeah, idk as much about Aeonaxx, but it was always way off/wtf worthy for Time Lost, and you were pretty likely to miss it even if you did follow the paths that happened to be correct anyway! Silly addon.

I hope not either....ah should I switch to SV while camping him? I've heard my pet wont be able to help me....

Well, coincidentally I was in BM when I found him, and I had no trouble [who expects to get a rare spawn in a crowded area on Friday night lol]. I'm not sure what dps I was doing but he is INCREDIBLY easy to kill. The biggest problem I had was the ads, they eat at your health - but really, any level 85 I'm sure would be able to handle it. I was also blubbering in guild, trying to take screenshots on my ancient computer etc so I'm sure you'll be fine. I think he got me down to about 30k from 115~ish at the time. If you're in surv, you'd probably have the time to watch him do a couple laps of deepholm or something and get all the other campers chasing you xD

But yeah, really really easy to kill (thankfully!).

I'm semi raid-geared...fully gemmed, fully enchanted. I should be okay.

I wanna cry. NPC Scan went off but....I missed Aeonaxx by seconds......he spawned just a little south of me and some night elf wandering in got him. I camped 14 hrs.

Oh no, that sucks. It's even worse when you lose it to some guy who wasn't camping. My second TLPD-loss was to a level 79 rogue who just happened to be passing by - if he'd been passing by a few seconds later my TLPD camp would have been 2 weeks shorter x_x

Think of it this way... luck has to be on your side, 'cause the bad part must be over in missing it by such a small margin.

And you know, in a way... as much as I love both my mounts... the sheer time that TLPD took to get has made him that extra bit special for me. Way more special than some guy who rocks up and happens to kill it cause he's passing by. So your Aeonaxx will be extra more awesome when you do get him

Ive missed him.. twice so far, one when I just left to get my pvp helm (by a mere minutes) and second time when I just right into a my bg que apparently he spawned.. (sigh)

atleast youve seen him spawn! thats a good sign, ive only seen him mounted. He spawns alot better then TLPD for sure.

On Saon ill be BM spec which a little worries me since its not my best spec.. but its my pvp spec and in bgs they dont let you switch specs (sigh) so I have no choice.. shes full pvp gear though so we will see how that goes

lol agreed, the bat.. is.. cruel, and not only that if you dont see find him in the ... next 30 secs (or under.. some say 15) since he spans youll never know youve just wasted 6 hours of your life for nothing...

People are saying he despawns alot faster now, that somehow hes glitched and just despawns extremely fast.

I've heard about that. I think the GMs laugh at us. Noooo...Madexx wasnt enough torture.....
