Hi all,
I tamed this wolf about a month ago, I was just wondering if anyone else has managed to get this pet and what does his HP look like at level 80? I'm just wondering if he'll be good to do raiding with or if I have to start looking for a good raid pet. Thanks!

All wolves will be identical, the only difference is aesthetics.

Wolves are currently considered the best DPS pet for raiding, so you're fine with Barnabus unless you wanted a different wolf skin.

any pet can be a raiding pet since patch 3.2 or something or 3.0 ( not 100% sure )
the wolfs buff became kinda useless as BoM and the warr ap shout will over ride it also it will only apply to you it is no longer a raid wide buff raptards, kitties, etc are all good now
think which one is more useful
no feral druid get a wasp 5% armor reduce!

Wrong.
The wolf's howl was adjusted so that it now only affects the wolf and his hunter, and therefore stacks with all those other effects. So if you're not a beast master of a certain gear level, the AP boost from Furious Howl is the best bet.
Did you really think everyone was running around with a wolf these days just because they liked the looks? No...it's because to the min-maxer, they are the current "best" raiding pet.
OP, I've seen Barnabus a couple of times "in the wild," though I've never tamed him. He's lovely...congratulations on the tame!

And I have used a wolf in a raid environment and have personally seen Furious Howl applied properly even with the buffs you mentioned active, at both a 10 and a 25-man raid level.
Wolves are the current "best" raiding pet for a reason, and that is the reason. The Howl applies only to the wolf and his hunter and therefore stacks with the other raid buffs. They would be a useless raiding pet if this were not the case, instead of the current perceived "must-have."
Also bear in mind that just because someone posts in blue text does not mean they are omniscient. They have mis-spoken in the past, and even the mighty blues make mistakes. Anyone remember what the blues said about the Grimtotem Spirit Guide?

To be fair, not everyone who uses the wolf is a min-maxer.
I got Iorek, my spikey wolf, long before the whole wolf craze. I loved his looks, I loved his personality, and he and Moonlight (My Rak.) were my absolute favorites. When it came so that wolves were suddenly the Next Big Thing, and Moonlight was starting to get squishy against spellcasters, (I've yet to figure out why.) I switched to Iorek. Even when the spikey wolves were everywhere, I still kept my wolf for the looks and personality.
But yes, most people use wolves for DPS reasons. At least most of the hunters on CC name their wolves...

Well, I know that.

I was just pointing out that that's the reason it seems like everyone has a wolf these days.
I have to try and remember myself to make sure that my Cinders gets taken out and played with regularly, since Clayburn does the majority of the work. I just sort of wish those fetch balls could work with combat pets as well as vanity pets...I'd love to play "fetch" with my hellpuppy.

Furious + Call of the Wild = More AP.
