So I'm sure you've heard of comfort foods before. Those yummy foods that are familiar and most loved to you.
The kind of food you eat that can brighten up a bad day if only for a moment or perhaps the food you remember and love(d) most from your childhood.
What are your comfort foods?



Mine have always been and are likely to always be: Fresh homemade bread and mac & cheese.
As for the sweets.. Mint chocolate chip ice cream, pumpkin pie, and my mothers oatmeal cookies. <3

Mashed potatoes. With cheese. Mmmmm...
Also, cake. Any kind of cake really, but especially red velvet cake. Drool...

Spaghetti with meatsauce. I think it's called Carbonara outside of sweden.

McDonald's Double Cheeseburger and feta cheese. The two just go together so well, I'm always waiting for the next time that I'll get some of that.

Meat.

Carbonara is with cream and egg, some cooked ham, maybe.
You mean "Sauce Bolognese"! It's with minced meat whereas "Napoli" is just a sauce made from tomatoes.

Right, it was bolognese. We just never call it that here.

Most people over here will call it "meat sauce" as well.

You should try a pizza where, instead of the mashed tomatoes, sauce Bolognese has been used... *smacks lips*

I agree with Karathyriel on this one. Filet Mingon all the way! It doesn't matter how horrible a mood I've been in up til then--it always makes it better.

For sweets, usually something with a chocolatey taste...cake or cookies most of the time.

For me, a steaming hot bowl of fresh chicken flavored... Ramen. Oh yes Ramen. Ghetto food, but I still love it.

That or chicken. Fried and... roasted. -drools-

Pasta. Always pasta for me. It's my freaking favourite food in the world and I never get sick of it. Particular favourites would be a fancy tortellini with 4 cheese alfredo sauce....mmm.

As for sweets, hmm....quite a bit.

I'm addicted to the Kit Kat bite size pieces. I forget what they're called, but they're just little cubes of kit kat chocolates in a bag. So good!

Nestle caramel drumsticks are always a favourite. (the ice cream cones)

And any sort of white cakes...mmm.

Ham,and mushroom,stuffed crust pizza.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, Jamaican-style curried lamb, scalloped potatoes, Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies/dough, tamales, arroz con pollo, hash browns and salsa, Kraft dinner, homemade beef stew, Sour Patch Kids, wonton soup, tacos, Velveeta cheese and spicy Rotel nacho dip... Yeah. Those would be my insta-happy foods! :3

The grilled cheese and tomato soup, chips and sala, mashed potatoes and the restuarants chipotle and qdoba though both are very similar for anyone whos ever eaten at these places! <-- is hungry now /stomach growl

Oh! Totally forgot about this one, but - Twinkies. Lmao, I know, but I actually love those things and I'll always grab some if I need indulgence food. :3

Hehe, actually that's just a myth. xD Though they do have a very long shelf life, they can expire.
