Ive been camping for a solid week. At least 12 hours a day while I putter around the house. I ONLY log off if Im sleeping, or going out of the house. I watched videos, I know he spawns literally ON the coords Im sitting on. I put the good luck charm on my sig on day two of camping last week.

Today Im sitting here, knitting and WHAM my scan goes off at 2 37 PM, and I scramble, looking, cant see...only to FINALLY target...and hes half health. I try to follow, and lose him, eventually stumble on the corpse, and 3 hordies from a lvl 25 guild are surrounding him. I cant be sure if they downed him, because they all mounted their scorpions and ran around.

/sigh.

a week. 72 hours. Not a single bat, one raid dragon, and nothing else.

Pardon me while I go pound out some northrend rares in extreme frustration for the next 6 hours. My only consolation is that he HAD to have spawned on the other side of the temple from where I was. And thats why I missed him.

But it still sucks.

Sorry to here that...been camping about the same amount of time....I logged off about noon so missed him if he spawned on my server at that time.

What spot were you camping?

47, 57 right above StoneCore entrance.

UGH and just NOW...the derp bat spawned and I BARELY got to target him before he despawned.

*hugs* I hear you... hes not the most fun thing to camp. Ive seen way to many casual fly bys.. I havent seen or heard anything since April 2 for Saon.. not camping as hard as you though, mostly pvping while parking my carcass there since I do not have a long enough attention span to camp like you do

havent seen a derpbat on Saon either.. or anything.. not a peep..

but he sure is worth the wait, by far my fave mount ^.^ GL on your hunt and keep on eye out. Just becareful not to lose your sanity and have a life outside the camp haha, tomorrow its off to the mall for me

I've seen the derp bat once before they knackerd the spawn timer and after about a weeks camping 14+ hrs per day i have seen literally nothing apart from thursday night when i came back from my raid to find aeonaxxs corpse :/. But i've started using other campers as indication for instance theres a worgen hunter who seems to be doing hardcore and staying there all the time apart from 6hr breaks when i assume he's found the bat

I have never seen the bat, a corpse, nothing... nada, zip. If a rare spawns, say at noon, does it spawn at the same time on all servers?
Does Aeonaxx spawn right after the server reset or hours later? Just trying to get some kind of idea when he possibly might............show?

when theres a server reset as far as im aware it wont spawn straight after they just follow their timers from before the reset. They also dont spawn at the same time on each server

I feel your pain i had similar occurrences with TLPD back then.

personally I haven't really started camping for that mount yet, but I already had one frustration night already >_>
I while back I decided to camp for a evening since I was bored and was looking at yourtube movies most of the time anyway so I put my hunter on one of the spots. alt-tabbed out of the game I even checked before hand if the sound was loud enough so if it would go off I would hear it .

I watched a youtube movie 5 mins later I check back in game to make sure I don't stay afk to long and what do I see! one big Aeonaxx warning! and of course the mob was dead and gone already >_>
In the end I found out I dint alt-tabbed but I accidentally minimized the screen and NPCscan does not make any sound if you minimized your screen *cry*

I have to admin that but one big dent in my future camping for the mount.

I gave up for a week after seeing him the last time.

I started again today. And the stupid Xariona is back. And she doesnt seem to despawn! Shes been flapping around for 5 hours already!

Heeeeeerurgle............argh.

That's the part that always drives me crazy, for all I'd know during the thirty seconds of those ten days that you weren't around to wait for him, he showed up and you missed him. That's what I hate about camping... and yet I still do it. *facepalm*

Yeah with my luck, this big meanie butt flies in circles in my camp spot while Im sleeping, and runs and hides when he hears my keys jingling with my authenticator.

Today I left my camp point NW2 just to see if jadefang was up.. Killed him, went back. NPCscan goes off, I see aeonaxx flying around in a little circle. I am 1 sec away from him, I see another guy on the other side... He got him.. I didnt.. Wow it hurts being that close! Also the "????" thinking if I spawned him by killing jadefang for that guy...... And I was so slow, trying a new pet out and shit on my way back. SO STUPID GAH

TWELVE hours today...and I get ONE derpbat.

I scared the crap out of myself...I was tabbed out reading something and watching Dr Who and good gawd...not fair. LOL

I am on Barthilas camping the spot as suggested by aeonaxxresource.com. 9 days ago there were two spawns in a single day, 13 hours apart. Since then I have camped >90 hours and have not seen a single rare! Loving it. I know they will spawn eventually, I am just hoping its 4th time lucky for me with Aeonaxx! LOL yes it will be my 4th opportunity at getting Aeonaxx!

Blizz gave me 7 days free playing time so my old account is now camping the TLPD! Its only a lvl 80 Rogue and it amazes me how outnumbered alliance are on Blackrock server... Must be like 6:1 ratio.

Multiple accounts camping rare spawns, BRING IT ON!

I tend to obey the instructions of tlpdresource.com BUT does anyone else feel the need to cruise around "The Storm Peaks" from time to time. I know that's how I got my first TLPD but I can understand why you shouldn't bother, especially with all the people camping for it these days.
