i was fishin for lavascale catfish in deepholm and noticed a lil perk of terrorpene.... he loves to swim in lava and not take any damage. i thought it might have been a one time thing so i checked the lava in mt hyjal and it was the same, immune. even went as far as to try the lava in BWD and he just swims around in it effortlessly while taking no damage.

granted he is a molten turtle i never expected blizz to allow him to keep such a weird perk as i doubt it would ever come in handy but hey, ya never know when ya might have to ride ur turtle across some molten lava!

it does make sense that a turtle made out of lava doesnt get hurt by lava. but still neat

I think it was a glitch I just tried it on the PTR and my terrorpene was indeed losing health 1.4k from swimming in the lava, it isnt much health for him and he could probably swim around there forever with me just hitting mend pet every now and then, not sure if maybe its just on live and they fix it in the ptr.. will have to wait until I get on live.

with his own little healing or what not.. he never goes past 84k.. its interesting... but neat lol and thats me not hitting mend pet

my cat is now chilling in the lava.. she has 67k health, she has yet to go under 64k.. spirit bond ftw maybe

That is very cool! It would be cool if we could somehow have a Terrorpene mount. I still need the turtle from fishing. I have had no luck getting him- but my husband got him on his third cast.

He actually does take damage from lava like any other pet... it's just that at that level pets (out of combat) regenerate health lost from lava damage as fast as they lose it...
