Karoma spawntimers, theories, ideas

Hey everyone.
I see that the cata rares haven't been add to the very helpful thread about rare spawntimers (found in the resource thread, I believe), so I turn to the community and seek your thoughts.
I'm currently on the look-out for Karoma, the lovely spectral wolf in twilight highlands (just missing him and Olm the Wise to complete my "spectral pets"-list).
I've gone over the comments on wowhead concerning Karoma and there seems to be spawns at all times of the day.
Do any of you have any ideas to when Karoma might be spawning and/or theories to how long the spawntimer might be?
If anyone have spawntimers for Aerie Peak (EU) that they'd like to share, I'd be thrilled, as that is my server.
But other than that, feel free to let me know when you've have been encountering this illusive rare. I can just any advice, theory or idea you might have.
In advance, thanks a lot for reading and commenting.

Realistically, there isn't any set spawn timer for any Rare. People will disagree with me however, after having gotten 25 Rarespawn-Elite Pets and reading on their "Spawn Timers" only to have some say "4-6hrs" or "6-12hrs" or "12-21hrs". Essentially, everyone gives it the Meteorologist's Guess "Looks like a 50/50 Chance of Rain today!" so either way, if it does or doesn't, they were correct. The best thing to do if you want that one rare is to drop everything you're doing, whether it be honor grinding, justice point farming, rep grinding etc...and just camp the living hell out of that rare. It's what I did and my stables is filled with Rares, including Karoma (As well as the other 5 Spirit Beasts)

As good advice as any.
And I thought Gondria would be the hard one, when I started out looking for them. It seems Karoma will be my hard one.
Aucturis, Gondria and Ghostcrawler have been very generous to me, more or less catching them around 24-36 hours after setting my mind on getting them.
But yeah, camping the spots might be best option, thank god for easter holidays and therefore the possibility to stay up for 24 hours straigh, if needed.

I happened to get Karoma purely by accident too haha. I was farming Twilight Jasmine and as I approached one of the southern spawn points my NPC scan went off. I didn't jump out of excitement like I usually do for my rare pets, I was more or less "o.O Oh yeah, there's a Spirit Beast here." Flew down and tamed it lol. I named him "WheresMySham" and haven't even used him lol.

My belief is that she's on a 6hr timer, give or take an hour or two's fluctuation. A friend tamed her 6hr after the last reported sighting (an hour after I gave up and went to bed

), and I tamed mine 18hr later.
It's not a meteorologist's guess, it's taking the game's timer fluctuation into account. Timers are not exact.

On Sen'jin, coordinated efforts from a few hunters have shown that Karoma is on an approximate 6 hour timer. I've seen him spawn multiple times, 2xtamed by me and my wife and multiple finder fees collected, he'll stay up for no more then a few minutes currently. Be quick, be voiced and be active. I'd say due to the number of spawn points, its better to fly around then actually camp.

Agreeing on the fly-around. Pick a spot to sit at for a few minutes, sure, but keep patrolling--I found mine at Crucible of Carnage, which I thought one of the most unlikely spots for her to survive long. Then again, it was 3am!

Thanks a lot for the comments!
I'm also flying around-camping (moving, hoverig a few mins at one spawn point, fly a round and hover at another point).
The theory about the 6 hour timer sounds promising. Maybe some time next week I have a day where I can put everything down and camp-fly around for 6-12 hours straight, if needed.

Tamed on Vek'nilash about 4:40 AM realm time on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Southwest spawn point, followed shortly by Sambas about 4:50 AM at Northwest spawn point. Will test out 6 hour timer theory, if possible. Had flown circuit for almost 9 hours before hovering over spawn point before logging off. Shortly thereafter, Karoma spawned on northern tip of spawn point, and npcscan alerted. Dropped frost trap too far away, but was not necessary, as damage was not significant during tame. Decided to fly circuit and found Sambas. Had to abandon a non-rare non-exotic to free up a slot. My advice: Keep two open and try to tame both in one shot.

Karoma will be a hard one, because he spawns in high traffic areas and it's really an eye catcher where he spawns.
I can't tell you how often he spawns, but I can tell you the time I found him/her both times I have seen him, between 2-4 pm server time.
Again, your best bet would be to wait for a server restart or to log as soon as possible following a Tuesday morning maintenance.

Checked again +18 hours. Found Sambas and hovered, notified guild member, and waited while another hunter came to tame. Looked for Karoma again, no luck, but her spawn points had campers and lurkers, so presumably she spawned as well, and was tamed or killed by the time we arrived. More evidence of +6 hour spawn interval.

My GM found Karoma one morning, and a tauren killed her. About 11 hours later, she found Karoma again. Plus Sambas in the interim I think.
