Vitreous Stone Drake hates me.

64 solo runs on normal mode now... and not a thing...
I think I'm going to go mad before it drops. I speak to people about it all the time, it takes them 2 runs, or 10 runs, or 30 runs at the most. But now I'm on 64 runs and I've never seen the damn thing, ever. Not even in the random dungeon groups I get.
Please wish me lots of luck before I explode!
PS. Also been camping Aeonaxx on and off for the past two months, missed one spawn. Rares just hate me.

wow atleast you can solo it.. I think id go splat.. may try it though ^.^ GL and keep at it!

You will get him! I'm working on mine too, from since word hit that hunters could solo it- I ran it in hopes of alleviating the insanity from Aeonaxx (in much crappier gear than was recommended lol. That kinda... hurt... to say the least, until I got the hang of it 
) . After they changed our traps it became a bit of a headache to maneuver, but actually might have ultimately made it easier. I just hate the trash in there- Altairus was much more fun to farm, likely why I got that mount first (*cough* and the blue proto the same day, which took constant runs- sometimes a few of them in a day when using the LFG system- from back when UP was current to even see DROP!)
Just keep your fingers crossed, hope for the best but prepare for the worst- when you see that purple pop up in the loot box, your heart will skip a beat! 
Maybe we will both get ours the same day!

Hehehe, thanks for the comfort there, that's actually made me feel a bit better as I sit here floating in the middle of Deepholm, right in front of the Stonecore entrance knowing that if I could just gain the willpower to head back in there and try again, maybe I could get him...
... which would be great, but in the process I could miss an Aeonaxx spawn...
Arg! I don't know which mount I want most.

Patience! Lots of it. Believe me, it's not like my first few shots at soloing it were very good.
Check my armory, it's not like I have raid gear or anything. Mostly blues with a few purples. And taking down Slabhide himself takes around 5 minutes as a hunter. I know DKs and warlocks can solo it too. Maybe paladins, not sure.

I've used Terrorpene, Jadefang and Gezzarak to tank it before. Always in BM spec, but I'm not sure if that's necessary or not.
Oh, and the Glyph of Mending is SUPER IMPORTANT. I believe impossible to keep your pet alive without it.

Well, I always said that if I got Vitreous, I would be RIDING Aeonaxx and not his adopted son (lol). I love the new drakes, especially the stones, so I figured having Vitreous would kinda calm me down in a sense until I got Aeonaxx down.
Go with your gut feeling though; the night I got my Aeonaxx, my significant other demanded I stay and continue camping when I mentioned thinking about running a few Stonecores. He told me twice that night to stay out there since I invested the whole day after maintenance on the camp, and mentioned I had a feeling he was gonna spawn. We were both right.

On Monday this week my boyfriend was over and he suggested we make lunch. So we did and I left my hunter in Deepholm. As we were walking back upstairs to check he said, 'Lol, it would be funny if Aeonaxx had spawned and some lowbie idiot got him'.
Indeed. Aeonaxx had spawned and someone got him. The next day I found the guy who got him and he said that Aeonaxx had spawned on one of the spawn points that was further away from where I was camping, and that Aeonaxx had spawned right underneath him. So I probably wouldn't have got him even if I was active at the computer. Ah well.
Anyway, I'm in the middle of my 65th Stonecore, so back to it!

Vitreous Stone Drake is mine. MINE!!! After 65 runs... Finally!
Has a scary story to go with it as well. I bumped into a hunter earlier with the mount, asked him about it, etc. After a while of chatting we started showing off our rare mounts to each other. I mounted my White Polar Bear which reminded him he hadn't got it yet, so he went off to do the daily. Five minutes later he's shouting to me that he'd got the mount. I felt so happy for him that I went and did a Stonecore to see if I could share the luck... seems it did!
I caught it all on video too! It'll be on YouTube later tonight, and I'll link it.
I'm so happy right now!

Whoa!! Sweet!! Congrats 
I love stories like that- super awesome. Told you you'd get it! XD I think I should do a few runs once I get my Rogue to 40 haha.
I do my runs in either BM or my MM solo spec, either or. No special gear, just regular PVE stuff for me as well. My gear is much better than when I first started soloing it. I'm shocked I was able to do it at all in my old gear.

Lol awesome! I was running it last night but nothing dropped. That's a pretty slick UI, I just finished re-vamping mine up the other day. I get into artsy moods and hop into Photoshop every few months to make new panels.
Anyway, grats again!

Lol, thanks, shame it's not really my UI though. 
It's an edit of TukUI that one of the users made. I thought it looked nicer and more smooth than the original, I love smooth and simple UIs.
All I did was play around with the settings in notepad a little to get what I wanted where/how I wanted it.
