Me and my cousin owned snakes, he had a ball python that bit me once... it hurt :.( I had a garter snake that I had caught while I was visiting him. Let it go though, felt bad taking it away from it's home. I was also actually thinking about getting a albino ball similar to yours.

ive dealt with snakes for almost 15 years now and ive never heard of a ball striking other than extreme hunger or blindness. very unfortunate. ball pythons stay relatively small 4-6ft while red tails like my albino can be 8ft to 13ft and weight up to 60lbs.

ive met alot of people who were scared of snakes. i used to have a 12ft Burmese Python named rosy that i would take to schools for my kids classes and everyone even teh teachers would be so surprised at how gentle she was. a snakes aggression is decided by how they are cared for from the second they are born. sadly tho rosy died of Inclusion Body Disease after being with me for 7 years and it was unknown how old she was when i got her as she was a rescue that the local animal control picked up but couldn't house (had a friend that worked with them). accident happen and ive been bit plenty of times, mostly my own fault (reaching for the snake after i "thought" it was done eating) or startling it. it hurts, but its not bad, a dog bite is worse. hell id rather get bit by any of my snakes rather than have my wife yell at me , her bite is the worst!

Your daughter and reptiles are all so gorgeous! You clearly are a good parent, both to your pets and to your little girl. :]

i try to be, nobody is perfect tho, i try to teach my kids about my reptiles and how they are "tame" but still have instincts. they have all held my snakes including larger snakes (with help) and know that while my snakes are nice and dont bite, any snake or any animal for that matter in the wild (aka our backyard) could be dangerous and to just simply leave it alone. in fact last week my oldest son stumbled apon a copperhead (venomous). he left it alone and came and got me cause he knew what type it was i trapped it with my handler arm (long metal grabber thingy) and bagged it and drove it about 3 mi back into the woods and released it lol.

i do my best not to kill any animal unless i have no choice.
