Finally, after almost four months.

It was dead quiet at work on Friday, so I left a little early. I swung by a pet store to pick up a 55 gallon aquarium kit that was on sale. Since I'm not ready to set it up yet, I put it in the 2nd bedroom/office where my computers are. Figured after lugging that thing in I'd sit down and log into WoW to do dailies and such.

I did a few passes over the Basin, then went off to do some dailies. I really wasn't in a WoW playing mood so I used my Argent tabard to port back to Northrend and flew over toward the Nesingwary camp to log off. Since I was coming in from Icecrown, flew around the Glimmering Pillar then, pretty much on autopilot, turned and followed the western side of the basin south.

I nearly jumped out of my chair when NPC Scan, Silver Dragon, and ESN Rarefinder (which I didn't even know I still had enabled) all went off at once and popped up images of Krush on the screen. I went right into a dive, hoping that it wasn't a false alarm and that he'd actually be alive, actually saying to myself "Don't be dead, don't be dead." There he was, strutting past some rhinos just south of the Maker's Perch.

I just ran in and hit Tame Beast. Almost immediately he feared almost right into a nearby rhino which thankfully didn't aggro. I started the tame again, watching the timer tick down, hoping that something wouldn't screw it up. Then he was mine.

So after looking for the fella for just shy of four months, having made an estimated 6k gold by gathering Adders Tongue and Goldclover along his routes and then dumping them dirt cheap on the ah, and having to clear my cache because somewhere in Orgrimmar there seems to be one or more hunters with the fella out all the time, I finally tamed King Krush.

For anyone interested, it was on Argent Dawn at 17:43 server time on Friday.

I've gotten the fella up to 84 now. Once he hits 85 he'll be replacing my orange devilsaur and taking over the name Grumpy from his predecessor.

The really sad thing Is I never realized how rare King Krush was, so when I saw him in basin when I was level 77 I killed him QQ.... Ever since then I have been trying to find him, I think he is scared of me now :c

I have Krush myself and got it by accident. For real, it was mad awesome. I popped out of a BG and there's this huge fucking Dino just ready to eat me. I was scared but then went "MMMIIINNNEEE!!!" and tried to Tame him. Tho, I didn't know about the Fear and needless to say, I got killed twice lol. I eventually got em tho!

It just sucks that he's not as Viable as my Skoll/Loque/Gondria/Karmoa/Arctruis/Ghostcrawler for PVP. The Bshout + Heal > Crit and the healing Debuff IMO.

Congratulations! I can relate- I searched off and on for him for awhile, and then I decided to sit down and really start looking consecutively. After about 2 weeks and nearly 40 hours spent the second week, I got him!

I'm very happy for you- he's an AWESOME pet!

=/ And here I thought I had a hard time getting Krush, saw him once when camping Loque, but another hunter wanted him... but for Frostbitten ><, then a month a half later a friend whispers me ''KRUSH'' over and over again, engineer port to sholazar and voila! Big green Yoshi.

Sir, I applaud your determination : D I don't know many people that are so determinate (or stubborn) to get what they want.

Grats mate!!

Grumpy is an awesome name :D I found my Krush by accident when looking for rifts for the pre-cata events (it was also the first time I had EVER seen him, dead or alive and I spent days in the Basin looking for Loque). He's now renamed Grump, simply because he was so grumpy when me and my sister found him (he feared us both - lvl 80 pala and hunter - twice before the tame was a success).

Again, grats hun!

Thanks everyone. I'm just glad that hunt is over. He was the last rare I was actively searching for. I wouldn't mind Maddex, but I figure if I'm meant to have him, I'll just stumble across him as I did with Sambas and Aotona.

Having grown up in the 70s, I recognized almost immediately upon my first char setting foot in Un'Goro Crater that the zone is one big ol homage to Land of the Lost. Since that's where we first saw devilsaurs, I figure that any dinos I tame HAVE to be named Grumpy.

I know what its like to have a hard time finding Krush. I may have only camped him for a week, but that week I spent 92 hours circling his spawn points nd trying to beat all the other hunters and achievement seekers to him. Saw him killed three times before I finally got him at 5am on the last day of the hunt. Congrats on the tame, and I must say the Krush is 100% my go to dps pet and has been ever since I tamed him :D
