Ghost Hydras went from Tenacity (Croc) to Ferocity.

Hence, until you go and untrain your hydra, it has 7 talent points. Once you reset, it "loses" the tenacity skills it had but couldn't access, and can now retalent in the ferocity tree.

Also, is now a fun, viable heroics pet!

Oh, and I am sorry for those who don't have one, it is a huge Blizzard tease giving Ghost Hydra owners such a weird gift for taming an accident. 4.2?

Ah, so I can spec my hydra into Ferocity (if I don't reset its talents) and I won't lose its Thunderstomp? He's my only tenacity pet, I'd hate to lose Thunderstomp.
Of course, it'll be fixed eventually.

Ah, that kind of sucks. We need another pet with an Arcane Potency type effect.

Huh? Arcane Potency would make for a very weird special ability for hunter pets - and useless.

Anyways, I do think that they should have gone with something other than another 5% crit buff - this would make the third Ferocity pet with that same buff.

Oh, that one. Considering that BM hunters get that buff anyways (from Ferocious Inspiration), I'd rather have something that's useful for all hunters, honestly.

That's 3% bonus damage. I had all the BM buffs up, then popped the hydra special and I still got the 5% bonus. So whatever you were referring to, it stacks. =O

I was referring to what Saturo was suggesting, which would be a buff identical to Ferocious Inspiration (+3% damage buff). In other words, if Hydras got something identical to Arcane Tactics, it therefore wouldn't stack with Ferocious Inspiration, and thus be useless to BM hunters.

Has anyone gone to see if the original ghost hydra in Sh. Basin in re-tameable?

I went to check earlier, but sadly the daily isn't up for me
I'll be checking every day for when it is.

Wonder what this will do to slimes? Will they become ferocity with hydras or stay tenacity with crocs?

None of the beasts from that quest are tamable as of right now. Just got the daily and tried.

i think hydras are still nontamable.. i tried in the basin and zangarmarsh. this was 2 days ago. so not sure if they still arent or was just bugged.

For the record, my slime stayed a crocolisk, with the tenacity tree and all.
