If you could only have ONE pet of each class (one wolf, one cat, one spirit beast, etc), what skins would you choose?

I actually limit myself to one of each species in most cases, though I've got a couple extra spirit beasts atm because I stumbled across them and I might want them later, and getting them back would be a pain :\


(I've got the Kraken as my backup core hound, I've been thinking of getting a different cat even though I've been using Rajah since I trekked from Darnassus to Durotar at level 10 to tame him, Aotona, the lowbie NE druid flight form, and the seagull all appeal to me from birds of prey, ravagers and raptors are both interchangeable for me, and if I didn't have the Grimtotem Spirit Guide I'd use Karoma as my spirit beast and the white wolf/coyote as my wolf, but the rest are pretty straightforward.)

The harder question is "which model/skin would I choose if I had to nab a pet from a family which I don't currently use?" in which case... hrmm... *thinks*


(I miss the NE druid flight form being a carrion bird if tamed from the Anzu encounter since I don't really like any of the current carrion choices. I was torn between the purple and blue snakes (I have fond memories of naming a blue snake on a hunter premade "Craterbeam" after a guildmate's Archimonde+Illidan tanking failure), none of the dogs are attractive to me, and if the purple boss wasp was tameable, that'd be the obvious choice for me on that particular family.)

Whew! That took awhile....

I only have one skin of each pet family that I want currently (except for some pets from the past that I replaced but didn't want to abandon). I have 5 PvP pets, 1 Soloing pet, and 9 PvE pets. The only pet that I want that I'm missing is Aotona. Ok so here they are:

If I were to get one skin for all the other families, I'd pick:

For the pics that don't display properly:
my wasp (Zora) and my silithid ant have the same golden brown skin as my beetle
my crab is the 'black' spiked model, which for some reason displays as grey on the armory, instead of a greenish brown
my chimaera is The Evalcharr
my raptor is the color-changing Gundrak Raptor

choices for the families I don't currently have:
brown bat (have on alt), blue dragonhawk (which I used to have), brown monkey (don't want a monkey, though), brown condor, white cat (I always come back to this one), brown mastiff (not really interested in this family), Ripp, brown boar, yellow croc, red gorilla (don't want a gorilla), Ghamoo-ra (which I used to have), green warp stalker (have on alt)

My choices are pretty typical really. =3
I didn't include a monkey or a gorilla because I wouldn't mind if they didn't exist anymore, haha!

Honestly, I don't think I've ever own bats or shale spiders. Shale spiders voices obviously crawled from the deepest pits of Hell and formed a moderately harmless-looking exterior to confuse people.

Ah, this won't be as easy as I first thought, since I succumbed to the urge to expand my stables the altoholic way a few months ago. Here goes.

That is all of course if all pets were equally easy or hard to get.. So this is all about skins, not the rarity of said skin.

The beetles were the hardest choice...didn't like any of them, so I compromised between two. Also the shale spiders...yech...they're for miners, not pet tamers!

Looks like I tend to warm-looking skins. Maybe I'm cold blooded and want to cosy up to my pets!

Edited to add that these choices are purely aesthetic. I have too many hunters with too many different attachments to different skins to be able to make a list like this based on "most important pet". So, I picked them on looks alone.
