So this morning I was doing my rare spawn rounds so that if they are up I can find them good homes today I found Sambas and promptly began to whisper any hunter online asking if they wanted to take him home with them. To my surprise not a single one wanted him or they just didn't reply



So I decide to stay to protect him from would be griefers and make sure that he gets tamed. After about 15 minute or so I finally found a hunter that wanted him. Invited him to a group summoned him and watched the kitty get a home.




Now heres the twist...
1. when I camped him there were 5 other hunters after him but non now.
2. when I went to check on our fire turtle friend terrorpene NPC scan told me that 1 of the only 2 rares I need now was found...(really? I just left Madexx to do my rounds)
3. I was hungry before I found sambas and stayed online to make sure he got a home... yay for great hunter... wait.... thats doesn't make me one nevermind

That's so great that you kept the pet for others to tame!

I have exactly the same. I found Sambas yesterday morning, and only after whispering 5 peopl did I find someone interested.
I found him this morning. Whispering again quite a few people, and then reassuring a hunter that there is no fee involved. I keep them trapped too to protect from griefers, but on my realm people tend to be friendly towards each other.

Maybe people who want Sambas all have him by now. I find that a lot of people I whisper ask "who?" or "what?", so they don't even know what he is and where to find him.

I do like you whisper. Mine's a bit less explanative, I might copy yours

Sadly thats probably true but most of the time I get that for gondria.

Yeah (too) many hunters just don't care about pets...they pick one or two and it's done for them.

I'm not very surprised, either; some hunters are willing to camp Sambas and thus will probably have the big cat already, some don't know about Sambas, and some (such as myself) aren't really interested in Sambas. Not every hunter is interested in Sambas but been unable to tame the beast.

Meh, I'm not interested in Sambas, merely because attaching a rare tag doesn't really pique my interest anymore. I have three unique rares now on my main, one of them a Spirit Beast.

Well I know some aren't interested but alot hunter want him and just don't want to spend the time to farm the guy

Sambas isn't my favorite either, I have him but have never used him actually. But some hunters might love the look of him, but don't have the time to camp him, and haven't found him yet when they're online...

I asked my guildies today since a couple of hunters were on:

Me: "Does anyone of you want Sambas?"
Guildie 1: "Who's Sambas?"
Guildie 2: "Free 25G"

I guess that tends to happen a lot

sigh I rememeber pre cata every hunter I knew was like I want sambas and I'm gonna name him Simba or Mufasa

I'm not talking about you or Sambas. But there are hunters who doesn't care for their pets.

I know I prefer the look of the original lions instead of Sambas.

Twice on steamwheedle cartel I've found sambas, both eventually given homes but to the initial inquiries to folks I usually got:

"Who?"
"What?"

"Don't you have to be BM?"

Was in a ZA run the other day, the hunters pet dies before Naloriak(bear boss),

Tank says: pet?
....
Tank says: Rez your pet?

Hunter says: Oh I don't care it's just my pet, it dies anyways.

I want Sambas....
