Morinaur's Journal (a little violent and very img heavy)

((I tried to make one for my hunter that ive been working on but the fact we change pets so often drove me nuts since I was finding it very difficult to RP how I left one pet and aquired another so ive decided to make a journal for my newest creation, Morinaur the worgen warlock. I am not a writer so I do apologize if you notice a lot of things that may be wrong with my typing.. grammer, punctuation, lack of vocabulary-- English is my first language but I wasnt very well taught (oh the irony, my dad is an english major).))

((Also note that I do not follow the quest lines nor do I write exactly what happened in each. There are maaaany other adventurers so I just pretend they're doing all the quests I didnt write about and that im writing down my experiences, not what the game is telling me I should be experiencing (example: Greymane and Krennan trying to give me back my sanity after i became a worgen. I decided I never lost my sanity but they still saw me as a mindless beast that fell blindly to the curse). I hope that covers everything...))

((Err lol one more thing-- even though there is for the most part no swearing or gorey descriptions in this journal there will be, Mironaur is a human that shares her mind with the presence of a demon when she gave her soul for power and the worgen curse. She will be having little outbursts once in a while.))

<You discover a tattered black book, it is obviously well worn from use and poor care. You look away to continue searching the rest of the ruins of the town but your eyes continue to find themselves looking upon the book. You decide to pick it up, hearing a clang of something metal falling inside a house and quickly run away a safe distance with the book in hand. You open it and notice claw marks on the back of the books front cover. The pages are torn, clawed, and stained.>

Page 1.

"Who am I...?"

"What... what am I?"

"Demon."

<The word Demon is written in a green ink that wisps from the page and seethes with foul energy.>

"Not always... What was I once?"

"Not importaint."

"Why?"

"You have no past."

"I did too! I wasn't always like this... I remember... people."

"You killed them. Do you remember that?"

<Claw marks line the length of the bottom half of the page, you can still read the rest of the writing however.>

"Oh.. Right... I guess I did. For power. I didn't want to be afraid anymore... Yes. I remember now. That... Hey! Theres a puppy in the corner over there, locked in a cage. Can I pet him?"

"Only if you want to lose your sanity."

"Havent I already lost it?"

<The strange babbling between the two writers have stopped. You guess the writer using the green ink did not know what to say or was perhaps offended by the question. You flip the page and find more random babbling and a photograph of one of the writers.>

Image

Page 2.

"You let the puppy out."

"I wanted to pet it... It looked so sad and alone... It bit me though, see? It really hurt..."

<You look down the rest of the page and see blood drops dotting along the length of the paper, as if she really had outstretched her hand to show the second writer. You also see the same claw marks you saw on the other page but again they don't impede your reading.>

"What did you do to the puppy?"

"I killed it. But before I did it... it snarled to me... and I could understand it. The puppy called me 'packsister'. Also, it turns out puppy wasnt so small. It was taller then I was and it even stood on two legs! Strange puppy, its dead now though."

"Your going to lose me now."

"What!?! No, your everything I know... You keep me safe from the monsters... I cant lose you."

"You pet the puppy, now your going to lose your sanity. Puppy's going to overpower us both and you will roam the forests like a mindless beast."

<You flip to the next page and there are a few lines of text followed with long claw marks. You quickly glance over to the next page and find it completely blank, and unshredded.>

Page 3.

"My head... Oh god... my handsszzz--"

<The writing becomes scratchy, like a person whos shivering from bone-chilling cold. You continue the sentence.>

"-- What, what is happening to me... Help... Help... He..."

<The writing ends as ink line makes a jaggad black scar down the page and the claw marks begin. Flipping past the blank page you see the writing has become sinister and no longer are the sentences conversational.>

Page 5.

Filthy wretches, I'll rip their heads from their bodies the second they let their guard down. How dare they improsion me in this crude wooden contraption. The man known as Godfrey wished to put me down, claiming I was a mindless creature with no remorse for any of the lives I have and may yet take. He will be the first to die and I will take much pleasure in it. The man named Greymane and this, alchemist dubbed Krennan tried and succeeded to save me from the Gallows and they have my infinite thanks. At least until they give me a reason to rip their heads off and tear their hearts out.

Image

Other worgen like me along with human Gilneans are walking the town freely, the worgen are still being shunned to some extent by the humans but they seem to be in a mutual relationship with eachother. War is probably the reason for this, I along with many others have discovered sentient undead beings called Forsaken have raided our shores.

Image

Page 6.

Expertly I took the lives of many of these foul creatures and slew the captains of both ships. I was sent soon after to a small farming village west of the main town Duskhaven and while I do not understand the point of saving this womans children I did so anyways. I was also charged with killing a vile 'Dark Ranger'. She posed some threat but I was the better skilled. I guess I also owe some of the credit of my accomplishments to this imp creature that keeps following me. He calls himself Tarrot.

Image

Not soon after I went below into the cellar to ensure the children were with their mother, we were hit with a massive earthquake. The cellar doors were unblocked and we crawled out dazed and confused to see the village in complete ruins and the land given way into the unforgiving sea. Greymanes son, Liam was at the shores and together we saved as many of the survivors as we could before we grew too weary and risked drowning our selves to continue anymore.

Image

Page 7.

Liam pointed me back to Duskhaven where I was given a horse for quick transport to Greymane Manor. We were told that we would be evacuating to another town called Stormglen. It was a very wet and dreary trip up there and I was thankful for both the horse and shelter within the manor. I weaved through the citizens that were confronting Greymanes wife and headed to his observatory. He lent the telescope to me, saying there was something very dire on the horizon and what I saw was several warships. I saw something flying above them but I was clumsy with manuvering the telescope and could not get a proper view of it.

Image

We fled on a stagecoach that had been prepped for the long journey and set out. The horses seemed troubled by my presence but kept on track. Just as we were nearing the final bend to Stormglen however we discovered Liam's stagecoach toppled over. I jumped off to see if there was anything I could do for him and there was. Survivors of a stagecoach before Liam's had fallen off of a short cliffside into a marsh full of crocolisks. After dealing with the reptilian beasts I was directed to slay ogres and steal the banner of a local forest ettin, Liam said he had plans for the monsterous brute.

Ha! Liam is a geniuous! We were confronted with a large band of Forsaken and he threw the banner directly at them which was seen by the forest ettin and he took all his anger out upon them. There was nothing left of the band and the brute returned back to the hills with his banner in tow. We head for Stormglen now. I wonder what perils lay in store us now.

Stormglen... There is an eerie silence among the people and a tang of an ancient feral presense with a hint of serenity seemingly trying to consume the former. I feel calmer now. From the barricades set up in the village I can see strange wailing spirit,s apperently called Banshee's, floating silently throughout the Blackwald. They seem to be searching for something. From here I can also see an abandoned home amongst the gnarled thorny trees that seems to be bustling with activity though I can only see shadows.

Lorna has told me to collect jornal pages that belong to a man known as Bradshaw, she believes what he wrote in his last days could explain what became of the original villagers. I am also given the duty of clearing out large spiders that have infested the village, along with their broodmother. I gave the journal papers to Lorna, killed the spiders, and returned to find Lorna wants me to travel to Bradshaw's mill for more clues.

Image

What in the babbling hells of Ak'zan((*)) is this, creature!?! Purple skin, long ears, long eyebrows... glowing eyes of silver. What is this atrocious yet graceful creature? Shes not the only one. There are more. They are the source of the calming serenity. She tells me there is a Dark Ranger who plans to trap and kill me and hands me an odd talisman. She wants me to face the scout and kill her.

Page 9.

She was right. There was a trap laid out for me. I must thank the long eared thing, the.. night elf as she called her kind. The ranger was quite shocked to see me free myself and I lept upon her and savagely tore into her stomach and ripped her organs out in a twisted mess of blood, flesh, and twisted delight. Oh how I love the smell of dying Forsaken. The ichor stings the senses and burns the flesh, making the experience even more thrilling. The elf was quite disgusted however and suggested I quickly make my way to a magical tree known as Tal'doren.

There I found someone who had been among those that fought against the worgen back in Gilneas City. His name was Darius Crowly, the father of Lorna. He greeted me warmly and was thankful to hear his daughter was uncursed and alive in Stormglen. He showed me around and I discovered more of those... night elves were here. Apperently its their fault we are cursed but they say we can learn to gain back out humanity and permanently free our minds from the savageness within us. Good. Krennas' concotions are putrid.

Image

While other worgen are gathering plants that have grown as result of Tal'doren's growth I slew the wailing banshees. Once the elves accumulated enough of the plants a worgen by the name of Tobias rushed ina nd said something about a scythe and that the dark rangers had found it. Several worgen and I were sent to the old abandoned house I first took notice of when I arrived in Stormglen and attacked the rangers. One of the other worgen discovered the scythes hiding place and we fled quickly with it in tow.

Image

Image

Page 10.

With everything in hand the elves blessed us all and I felt quite different. Voices returned into my mind. Voices that I remember having but they are too quiet for me to hear. I cannot make out what they are saying. No matter, they are easy enough to dismiss. Soon after the ritual was complete Godfrey and Greymane made their entrances into the tree. Godfrey seemed quite troubled but Greymane was focused and calm. After some discussion with Darius, Greymane transformed into a worgen. The king of gilneas a worgen! I took on a whole new respect for the man but Godfrey couldnt believe his eyes and stormed away infuriated.

Image

I returned to Stormglen and was told something happened further up north to Krennas, I swiftly treked up the mountain trail where I met the alchemist. He said Godfrey told two lords, Lord Walden and Bron Ashbury about Greymanes change swiftly won their sides, taking Greymane along with another Lord captive. Krennas gave me another one of his putrid potions and I snuck through the mountain passes, reaching each of their homes and swiftly slaughtered them before they could retaliate.

Image

Page 11.

I snuck into the outpost Greymane was being held in and told him the two men were dead and we confronted Godfrey who in turn, ran like a bullet to the cliffside and jumped off. Fucking son of a bitch. I had been dreaming of different ways i'd torture him before killing him. I returned to Greymane and was told to make my way to Livery post, just outside Gilneas City, the Lord beside us lent me one of his horses so my journey would be swift and at least, a little bit safer.

Image

((*Ak'zan is the planets name where the demon lord resides that Mironaur pledged her allegience to many years ago during the First War when Gilneas closed its walls))

Page 12.

Livery Post. Small, dingy, little cover against the rain. I hate smelling like a wet mutt. The voices have returned as well, one of them is louder then the other but its speaking nothing but random jibberish. Something about a puppy or being a puppy and crying out for the other voice not to leave it alone. Its a little harder now to block out the murmuring, i hit a tree with a shadowbolt while trying to concentrate. Fuck.

Theres not many of us here, I have to do all the work. I have to collect meat from the stags, save some miners from Forsaken troops, and kill the leader that's commanding the mines. I decided to do the stags first, fresh meat, raw and bloody... It wouldnt hurt anyone if I killed one for myself to devouer...

Image

I hate being underground. I hate the cramped quarters, the thought that the ceiling could cave down on you at any time. The Forsaken now are nothing but a nusance. Rather quickly I strode down the tunnels, killing Forsaken and freeing prisoners but its difficult to focus with the damned voices in my head. Thankfully I was able to kill the abomination before he had a chance to cleave my head from my shoulders.

Image

Image

The woman's voice keeps ringing in my ears. Its driving me... Its driving me... Its DRIVING ME CRAZY---

<The ink is heavy and theres some tearing in the page that goes on for some pages through the book.>

Page 21.

Image

"Where... Where are you...? Help... Im so alone..."

"Im here."

"Oh thank god! Im so scared... Why am I in here... I hate dark tiny spaces... Please help me.."

"Perhaps you should ask puppy. She brought us here."

"Pup-- puppy? But... I killed the puppy... It bit me..."

"You killed that puppy. But now you are one too."

"Puppy? Are you there? Please help me... I dont want to be here... I want to go home..."

<The conversation seems to end there.>

I love how as a human she's so naive about what has been happening but she has all her senses about her as a worgen. xD

When shes human her minds too weak and the demon part takes control, calms her and takes care of her. Ive based it off a little like Soul and the black blood from the anime Soul Eater and also a bit of Lord of the Rings with Golem before he is told his real name, Smeagle and ends up remembering most of his past just before he got the ring ^-^ The worgen is the embodiment of her desire to not be afraid anymore, to be able to take a stand and defend herself (its the whole reason why she sold herself many years ago to the dark arts of demonic magic).

Page 22.

My head hurts... I dont know what just happened but one of the miners I freed said she found me collapsed in the mine and she dragged me out. Anyways. Thats not importaint. I have to head back to Lorna now.

Emberstones been taken by the Forsaken. I have to kill some commander, a mad scientist and cull the infantries numbers. The voices in my head have gone silent. I cannot express how much of a relief that is. The infantry die swiftly to my dark magic and the imp Tarrot that keeps tagging along beside me. He says he belongs to me, that I made a pact with a demon lord long ago an he along with several other demons are my minions to command. Until I can figure out his true purpose I do not dare summon the others. Im not sure entirely how I came to wield these powers nor how I ended up with a minion and i'd rather not get myself killed.

Returning to Lorna she says Liam has arrived and its time to take back Gilneas City from the Forsaken's leader Sylvanas Windrunner. I am eager, ive longed for a battle as large as this. The chaos, the death, the adreneline consuming all sense of sanity and humanity. To give in to the feral tenancies that are ever churning within my core just as I had before I was captured by Godfrey and Greymane is an experience that does not happen often and I revel in it all. This will be a glorious day for Gilneas!

Image

Page 23.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Sylvanas... That must be-- what is that on that horse... Its-- her-- I never truly got a good look at the Dark Rangers in the past but ive always thought they looked odd, I could never see beneath that hood of theirs but Sylvanas... She, they, they're all ELVES! Long eared purple, white, blue bloody elves!!! Greymane, he's come, the fight against this damned bitch can begin!

Image

No... No... Liam... Sylvanas, that bitch killed him...

Image

<Water stains, probably tears, mark the page.>

Tobias wants me to follow him to the chapel and find out what they're up to next. We leap and dash quickly over and hide in a pool of water that was designed for decorative purposes and wait. Luckily we did not have to wait long, Sylvanas seemed quite in a rush to get this meeting with someone by the name of Warhowl done quickly. We learned that this green... monster and his 'Warcheif' are against Sylvanas using this concotion called 'The Plague'. She of course lied through her teeth to him until he was satisfied and told the forsaken beside her to carry through with the plans and bomb the city from afar.

Image

Page 24.

We return and find Greymane mourning over the loss of Liam. I somberly tell him what Tobias and I discovered and he tells me they had caught one of the forsaken's riding bats. I am to mount it and bomb the forsaken and their catapults. Ive never flown before, cant be that bad and im far from that plague. Sylvanas said herself that not even bones would be left once the city was entirely covered in plague. As we flew along I threw bombs down and gazed around at the horizon. Gilneas is truly a beautiful place if you can get past the fact its always raining here. I wonder where i'll go once everything is done an said, if I survive that is.

Image

Image

Out of bombs, I wheel the bat around and land saftley in the city, reporting back to Greymane. He gives me a torch and tells me that it will ward off the vermin thats living in the escape tunnel below the house. He says it will lead me out of the city to the country side to the west. I wave the torch around infront of me and I get my first glimpse of the vermin inside the tunnel. Not so bad, except that its undergorund again. The womans voice has returned, shes shreiking in horror but over what I have no idea. I feel faint.. I.. I cant see ve--

"Rats... Rats... Rats, rats, rats, spider!!!"

"Its dark again and we're underground... Puppy... Why do you keep taking me inside places like this... Oh? This rat seems friendl-- OW!"

"Did poor little Morinaur get bitten again? Maybe you should kill them. That will make it all better, right?"

<The page has speckles of blood and some short grey fur is matted in some of the blood spatter.>

"I hate rats so much... They scare me and when I thought one was trying to be nice it hurt me! Its dead now too though.. A bunch of them are..."

"Thats my girl... Kill whatever tries to hurt you. Thats the only way you can be safe right?"

"Yes... Yes killing what hurts me makes everything all right... Keeps me safe... Im still so afraid though... I cant kill the dark... I cant do anything... Please, please help me, puppy please help me, someone, anyone, I want out of here now!!"

Image

Page 25.

I dont know what happened. I just walked down into the passageway and everything went black. There are some mangled corpses of rats, their bodies look to have been crushed and their heads are torn off. My hands stained in their blood, couldnt be anything else, i havent killed any red-blooded creature recently. My head is killing me again but the voices are gone. I think im going insane. Did the ritual the night elves performed really fix me? Or is it this bond I apperently made long ago with demons...

I grab the torch from off the floor and swing it around, scaring the vermin out of my way and find myself facing a graveyard.

Image

Spectres are flying around silentlyamongst the graves. Apperently the earthquake that hit many days ago disturbed many of the grave sites and the spirits of the dead have become agitated and restless. The spirits dont like me troming around in the graves, as I went to pick up a memento I was attacked from behind my one of them.

Image

After gathering the mementos Krennas blessed them and I, alongside Greymane, Darius, Lorna, and the deceased Liam placed Liam's remains and the offerings at a sacred point within the graveyard and swore that we would avenge his death and the deaths of all others that have fought and died in Gilneas' name. Keel Harbor is my next destination.

Page 26.

ELVES! Why the fuck can I not escape these hideous creatures, they are in whole armies, armed to the teeth and they even brought war machines and these bizzare living tree creatures that are easily seven or eight times my height called Ancients. They apperently are guardians of nature and have been around for thousands, some for even tens of thousands of years. I meet up with Darius who is near the docks and he tells me more of the green skinned monsters called Orcs have arrived and are waging one last war upon us. I am to take one of the night elves war machines and decimate their troops and machines.

Image

Image

The controls are pretty basic, amazingly and I was able to cull many of their number before they became manageable for the Ancients. I returned to the harbor and Lorna came up, telling me we were going to raid the Hordes airship. She explained the Horde was a collection of races under one banner, the orcs and forsaken being apart of that Horde. I was escorted to the harbor where Tobias cared for some strange birds. They bore stag antlers, the back half of a horse, and the torso, legs, and head of a bird. They said they are a ancestral companion of the night elves. For how hideous elves are, hippogryphs-- as they are called, are beautiful.

Image

Image

We waited till the time was right then mounted the hippogryphs and flew onto the top of the airship, dropping down onto the deck with ropes and confronted the navigator and captain. Once we had both the rafters and control room secure we went below and planted explosives in the furnace room but we were attacked by a thing that was more hideous and large then all the other orcs ive confronted since their first appearence in Gilneas.

Image

Image

Image

Page 27.

He was hard to take down, I suffered a sprained ankle trying to dodge one of his attacks but luckily Lorna made the killing blow before he had a chance to smash my skull in with all his force. The explosives blew just moments later and we swiftly mounted on winged lion creatures known as Wyverns. Im told on the flight down by Lorna that they are the companions of the orcs, much how the hippogryphs were companions of the elves.

Image

Image

Once we landed my leg was quickly bandadged and we climbed aboard the elves ship and sailed across the sea to their native lands where many of the survivors now rest. The elves grew a tree just for us in their city so we may have a home. Hideous creatures they are but never have I ever been so happy to be amongst them, Literally. I loathe them but they have done more then we would of ever expected from anyone else and we owe them our lives.

I love this, keep goin haha ^_^
So basically... in human form she is very weak and can be controlled/comforted by the demon, and in worgen form she's stronger and only hears whispers?

((Yea, the worgen part of her is the human but with a stroger mindset, strong enough to overpower the demon with ease. She only hears whispers right now cause the connection hasnt entirely formed between the three, she has Multi Personality Disorder.

Human: Original self broken by the demon within her

Demon: Replaced her free will when she gave herself to dark magic and became a warlock

Worgen: 'Puppy' is her original self but bolstered with new strength. The manifestation of her desire to be fearless and defend herself from the terrors she may face wherever she goes))
