In game holidays and alts

I was just wondering when in game holidays and world events roll around how many of your toons do you run through the events?

Personally as an alt-iholic I try to run my highest toons through and my favorite lower toons depending on what the rewards are. But this Children's Week ended up wiping me out. Just working on Harbingar, Vargr, Bodhran and Brophy killed me. Spent almost all Saturday doing all three mini pet chains on Vargr and Bodhran and towards the end while confronted with doing the Northrend quest line with Vargr for the 4th time I almost said screw it there is next year. :x But then did it anyway.

So what do you do with your group of toons? Who gets the rewards or chance at them (such as mount/mini pet runs on holiday bosses)?

Anyway was just wondering about this as I slogged through Northrend for the 4th time this last week.

Vephriel, my main character, is the only one that I strive to complete achievements on. She's the only character that I have a desire to work for things such as achievements, mounts, minipets, goals...though I enjoy my alts, they are still just alts. I can't imagine bringing myself to want to go through the achievement fuss more than once. I suppose very occasionally if there's something I want that would suit an alt (such as a title or other achievement reward), I may do it. For the most part, though, I keep myself to my main for all such completions. :)

I did all 3 orphan quest chains on my 3 high level toons, got 2 alts who were in their upper 50s to 60, so they could do outland orphans as well, and I Think I did the azeroth orphan quest chain on all my alts over level 30. I'm glad it's over. :) I guess I feel compelled to concentrate on holiday stuff whenever I can, as it's only available for such a short window of time.

Val is my main so she gets all the holiday love. I don't really bother with running alts through these things but I do strive to do as much as I can with Valeriya, hence her now being 'the noble' :D But not a matron, 'cos of the children's week BG achievements that I really couldn't be arsed with.

My main alts got to do one set of holiday achievements each to get a title to wear around. Otherwise I only do holidays on my main.

Two years ago, I set out to complete Long Strange Trip on the alts I considered to be my "primary" alts—that is, the characters that I would play if I had a reason to choose a second main. Unfortunately because my whims flit around so capriciously, I'd start an alt, get several months into it, then hit a PvP achievement and REALLY not want to do it. The worst case is Myself (née Delenda), my rogue, who sat around all last year AND all this year waiting for Children's Week to come around. By the time it did I had absolutely no desire to subject myself to the idiocy that is School of Hard Knocks, so for the second year in a row she'll be one achievement short of her 310% (she doesn't have 280% yet though since she's just my bank alt, so I find it especially difficult to bring myself to bother).

My main's had all the achievements but the multi-year ones (and Mask For All Occasions) since the first time they were available post-3.0, of course.

Oh Hell I H-A-T-E School of Hard knocks. My brother helped me get that on Harb last year and that is probably the only reason I have them done.

And with there not being a neutral shared quest hub like Shatt or Dal anymore it just make them so much harder. Things like bunny/turkey/WTF ever another toon of blank faction. Hate those almost as much as School of Hard Knocks. >.>

Harbingar my old main is the only one that has What a long Strange trip and thus 310 flying. Others have a spattering of work on them with Vargr being the other closes to Harb but not anywhere near to being done.

It was so much easier to do holidays when all I had was one lvl capped toon and the others just got pulled out for mini pets lol.

Exactly with Litlemouse. I was going to say something along the lines of that, now I don't need to :P

Jetfyre got them all first. I'm currently working on them with Jessibelle.

When I started the bunny one this year I figured finding horde females to plant ears on would be the biggest challenge, until I started looking for a female dwarf. I think me and my friend found the only two on the entire realm.

I have no desire to get Long Strange Trip on any of my characters, thank Elune, so I haven't had to do *all* the achievements. I get to pick and choose depending on whether the holiday makes sense for the alt in question...and how annoying the requirements are.

For example: I did all the Valentine's events on my DK alt, because the idea of having a DK with the 'Love Fool' title amused me. (Plus he's a tank, so I could insta-queue for dungeons until the flowers dropped.) I'll do the Fire Festival events on my ele shaman for the 'Flame Warden' title and because it's fun and good cash. And I haven't done any of the Noblegarden quests--at all--on any of my characters.

Though Kass is technically my main, Rakesha my druid is even with her. But I am only being a cheevo whore on Rakesha so she is eventually going to take "place" as my main toon once I get her better geared. Running some things like the Holidays is a pain....doing it on more than 1 toon, yeah I don't have the patience for it. xD
