how do I use a pic for an avatar

I have a pic that I'd like to use for an avatar but no idea of any free sites that i can host the picture on for it, let alone how to set those up or how to set the avatar up, I can probably figure out the avatar part once I get a place to host my pic for it, though.

I think the avatars have to be uploaded from your computer.

You can set the avatar directly on the forum, just go on the user control panel > profile > edit avatar

Save the picture to your computer (if you have not done so already), then if you are on windows and need to re-size you can open the picture, click open > Paint (which comes with every window computer), the click resize, put it on pixels, and type 100 in the top bar. If the other bar is 100 or less, you're good to go. Then just do what Eziwolf said.
