I have noticed something with Shy-rotam's mate. Sian-Rotam has become a rare spawn. I know this only because i was getting the new quest/daily for the frostsaber mount on my alliance hunter and tamed them both. I only know he is a rare spawn because of the silver dragon around his picture. (my x-perl mod was not working right for my hunters and i had to turn it off.)


Has anyone else spotted him sleeping under the rock while his mate paces back and forth?

Yes, he came back as a rare in 4.1, this has been discussed in many different threads.

Just so the theme has some new info : Respawn time seems to be between 12-24 hours and doesn't shares spawn point with Rak'shiri, the other rare in the area.
