I just tamed Ressan the Needler on my Tauren hunter...any naming ideas?
Other pets are named Shunka (Mulgore wolf), Darwin (tortoise), Sergra (armored boar) and Strangebeast (Mazzranache, the pink tallstrider)

Gryselde strikes me as a colour- (grey) based name, so maybe something in keeping with the theme? "Gwyn" and the derivative "Wyn" both mean "white" in Welsh.
I've always been so tempted by bats, but anything that won't eat fish tends to get re-homed pretty sharpish where Art is concerned. (I have a mania for fishing.) For silly names, perhaps something referencing fruit, or maybe something relating to being crazy (not the obvious phrase about guano, ofc

).

Greta. Both Gryselda and Greta are old, Swedish (well, nordish really, but whatever) names.

I like vampire names for bats. Went with Nosferato with my old bat.
Dracula, Alucard, etc.

My bat's name is Alucard. But I was also considering "Vlad", "Impailer", or "The", because Dracula was a book character based off of Vlad the Impailer... You probably shouldn't use "The" though...

In keeping with the theme, "Tepes" means "the Impaler" in Romanian ... the "the" is included in the concept, I think.
Liking the "Belfry" suggestion ... it ran through my mind when I was thinking of "batty" (crazy) ideas. Can't shake off "Batbitcrazy", even though it's so achingly corny.

The bat has a name now. I named him "Tir" for the chittering noises he makes and his homeland...and oddly enough, I realized "tir" means "land" in Gaelic!
